Rambam's birthing rooms and the maternity ward moved to a new building today, in a cozy and enveloping place that was specially designed and adapted to the birth experience, while the existing birthing rooms are being renovated and renewed. In the near future, the maternity ward and the delivery rooms are located on the 1st floor of the main building (Sami Ofer Tower), Protected and safe area, (not in the underground hospital).
The postpartum hospitalization department and the neonatal department remain in their place in the Sami Ofer building on the 4th floor.
Michal Kranzler, the head nurse of the midwifery system says:
As always, even in the new complex, Rambam's medical team is here for the mothers, and will be happy to accompany them in the most exciting moment of all. There is a protected and safe feeling in the new site, and at the same time, it is a reassuring fact.
