(live here) – The art exhibition "Seventh of October" by the artist, poet and writer Eyal Moyal, opened last night (Sun. 31.03.24) in the Haifa Auditorium (Rappaport Hall) in the presence of the incoming Mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav, his deputies Avihu Han and Sharit Golan Steinberg and many dignitaries.

Moyal congratulated Yahav on his assumption of office and later reviewed the works and performances in the exhibition before those present. According to him, the next step is to move the exhibition to the Haifa Museum and this after the exhibition has already been presented in several cities in Kiryat and has been a great success.
"There is no reason why Haifa museums should not also present exhibitions by local artists", said Moyal and added that it is very important to him that the Haifa audience will also be exposed to his works since he previously served as a journalist, for many years, in the city of Haifa.

Yahav pointed out that in his works, Moyal was able to convey the message of the Shiva events in October. According to him, his daughter is also involved in the issue and she initiated and produced the "Nova" exhibition in Tel Aviv, which exhibits relics from the Black Sabbath.
Moyal: "This is, apparently, the first solo exhibition in Israel that deals with the subject of the Seventh October. The exhibition reviews the events of the Seventh October visually and differentiates between the arenas: the events in the kibbutzim, the Nova festival, the abductees and more. The exhibition includes paintings, performances, works of art, songs, works Assemblage and more. The concept of the exhibition: visual and sensory stimulation of the viewer through performances, works of art and songs in a way that will make him feel the events and go through a moving experience."
The exhibition will be shown in the Rappaport Hall in the Haifa Auditorium for about two weeks.
