Sergeant Israel Eliyahu Suisa, a lone soldier, a fighter in a paratrooper patrol, was killed in a car accident last Tuesday (5/3/24) while riding a motorcycle on Route 4. Israel has been fighting in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war and went out for a short refresher, when he was involved in a car accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suisa immigrated with his family to Israel from Canada. Two years ago, the family returned to Canada, and Israel remained in the country in order to enlist. He has been fighting in Gaza since the beginning of the war and left for several days to refresh himself. Yesterday (Tuesday 5/3/24) Israel found his death in a car accident, when he was riding a motorcycle on Route 4, between a licensed interchange and Ra'anana, where he lived in an apartment for lone soldiers.
His family is now making their way to Israel to accompany him to eternal rest.

"He felt he was doing something important"

"I grew up in Canada until I was 18," says the sister, "then we immigrated to Israel. My brother Israel knew how to make fun of everything, he knew how to make it easy for everyone and lift the mood, he simply knew how to make everyone around him smile," she says and continues: "He didn't He told us exactly what he did in Gaza, he always said that everything was fine and that he felt he was doing something important. I would ask if it wasn't difficult for him not to shower, and he would always find something positive to say."
