A torch is burning at this time at the Carmel Olefins factory in Haifa Bay

(haipo) - A burning torch was observed at this time (Monday 19/2/24, 11:00 a.m.) from the Carmel Olefins factory in the BaZen complex in Haifa Bay. The Haifa system received many inquiries from residents who noticed the burning torch with intensity and wondered about the meaning of the matter.

Bezan reported to Lai Pa in response:
"Following an unexpected malfunction in the compressor at one of the group's facilities, excess gases were diverted to the safety torch. Vigorous torch activity is expected in the coming hours. We would like to remind you that a torch is a safety device for the safe burning of excess gases in the process, and its operation poses no risk to the public."

Attorney Sharit Golan, chairman of the Association of Cities of the Haifa Bay Area for Environmental Protection, said in response:
"A month after the previous malfunction that was accompanied by a violent explosion, a malfunction occurs once again at the plant in Zan, which leads to the burning of gases using the polluting torch. The serial malfunctions at Bezan raise the suspicion of poor maintenance of the company's facilities and require the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Haifa Municipality to re-examine the factories' business licenses. Continuing with the routine of malfunctions.

The price of Bezan's negligence, the repeated malfunctions in the factories and the pollution they bring with them, are paid by the residents of the Haifa Bay, the union will work to prepare a comprehensive report on the series of malfunctions that occurred in the recent period along with recommendations for the activities of the licensing and enforcement bodies."

  1. Commenters with a shekel who have no idea about the way of work and safety in elevators, and to that helpless commenter, your car and the garbage it emits is more carcinogenic than the torch. A bunch of lifeless green bots

  2. 4 months of war and they still don't understand the necessity of an independent energy economy, second thing to the honorable lady who has no clue about the processes in the decoder the intense "spark" was just a pressure release that has no safety hazard. In short, the closing of the ZEN = Hezbollah is roaming the streets, Aver army, tanks and the like will appear like a white elephant. Good luck to everyone

  3. So was Sarit Golan until today? Why didn't she act in the city council and chair the Haifa Bay Area Cities Association for environmental protection??

  4. giving cancer to our children.
    emit toxic and dangerous gases.
Is there enforcement on this? Are there fines?
Do they comply with strict regulations?
The Osem company had to install special filters in its factories in Europe, due to strict standards
The same factories work in Israel without these filters, simply because the government is abandoning the public here
(Knows about this from a factory manager in Osem)

  5. Nonsense in the juice…
How often do you report this torch 😏
This is a routine event. The torch has a role to protect the facilities during excess gases and/or malfunctions.
So what's new about this thing that's important to report.
    You are probably bored...
