The Municipality of Tirat Carmel, in cooperation with the Community Relations Department and the Tirat Carmel Community Center and all the departments and departments of the municipality, continues to work for the families of the reservists in the city, in accordance with the directive of the mayor from the outbreak of the war almost four months ago.
Comprehensive answers in the various areas of life
In this framework, the municipality provides a series of comprehensive and extensive services in the various areas of life, and as an overall envelope to strengthen the accompaniment and support for the families of the reserve and permanent servicemen, as well as for families evacuated from the north and the south.
- Property tax discounts: The Municipality of Tirat Carmel offers a 25 percent discount on property tax to commanders and commanders in active reserve service, and a five percent discount to soldiers and female soldiers in active reserve service. The discount is given for the entire reserve period, including retroactively and in accordance with the law.
- Free tickets for shows: As part of the "Family Thursday" initiative, starting last November, free tickets to shows are allocated for the children of reserve servicemen.
- Complementary medicine treatments: Recently, a meeting was held under the title "Coming to the home front", in which 14 wives of reservists who live in the city participated. During the meeting, the participants were given a series of complementary medicine treatments, contact therapy, reflexology, acupuncture and more.
- English course at a subsidized cost: The Zozo Young Women and Young Men Center holds a variety of activities for the families of reserve servicemen. Among other things, women who serve in the reserves or permanently, or whose husbands serve in the reserves, are offered an English course at a subsidized cost - 300 NIS instead of 500 NIS. On top of that, two free "Zoozy Baby Date" activities are offered for mothers and babies after birth.
- Help and assistance in finding a job: At the Zozo Center, they launched a program that supports the reserve and permanent officers in their professional and personal lives. In this framework, the Zoz Center offers help and assistance in finding a job, enrolling in higher education studies or career development, and locating benefits and exercising rights.
- Free after-school services: The municipality continues to hold a variety of activities also for families who were evacuated at the beginning of the war from the conflict lines in the north and south to Kedem Hotel in the city. In this framework, children of evacuee families who were integrated into the municipal education system of the Carmel Castle, enjoy the after-school services in the city free of charge.
- Participation in the various after-school classes free of charge: Based on available space, the children are invited to participate in the various classes of the after-school and community centers, also free of charge. At the same time, the evacuated families receive an envelope and assistance from the welfare and social services division of the municipality, in any relevant matter.
* In the coming month (February 2024) additional activities and projects are planned for the families of the reserve servants and the evacuees, about which notices will be issued by the municipality and the community center.
