(haipo) - Many residents complain that many streets throughout Haifa are not lit and remain dark in the evening and at night. According to them, when they contacted the Haifa municipality on the issue, the answer they received was that it was a malfunction of the electric company, and when they contacted the electric company, they were told that it was an initiative taken by the municipality.
In the past week, the Hai Pa system received a number of complaints from residents, according to which many streets in the city remain dark even when the evening falls and street lighting is required. Among other things, this is the situation on Shlomo Asa Street, which according to the residents, for about a month and a half, the lighting has been turned off twice a week from 21:30 p.m. until the next morning.
Even in the Kabbir neighborhood there are several streets that have not been lit at all for the past week. Shoham Street in Carmel has also only been partially lit in recent weeks, so those who pass by it during the hours of darkness are forced to walk in the dark for several minutes. But as mentioned, the phenomenon is true for quite a few other streets all over the city, and the residents do not receive an answer.
In Neve David, for example, the residents have decided that they will not give up and continue to contact again and again in order to find out and solve the problem, only that there it has been going on for a month and a half.
The representative of the residents on Shlomo Asa Street said in a face-to-face conversation:
"We have noticed that for the past month and a half, regularly, two days a week, there is no electricity in the street from 21:30 p.m. until the morning. It is not enough that there are pigs and it is not enough that there is no security, now they are adding fuel to the fire and darkening our street. Simply Egyptian darkness.
I come back from work and I don't see anything. My husband leaves for work early in the morning and there is no light. A friend who works as a nurse in a hospital and goes on night shift sees nothing. We have to turn on the flashlight of the phone. We contacted the Haifa municipality and were told that it was a malfunction following the storm that had occurred and that the electric company is handling it. We turned to the electric company, where we were told that there was no problem. They told us this: "This is an initiative by the municipality, the municipality is taking down the counter for you, just like that, in these words."
A resident of the Kabbir neighborhood says that for about a week most of the neighborhood's streets have been dark and they don't even know the reason, because the electric company's call center does not see any malfunction in the area. So what is really happening with the street lighting in Haifa?
The Haifa Municipality informed Haifa:
"The municipality does not turn off and does not 'initiate' power outages. All malfunctions are repaired as quickly as possible in cooperation with the electric company."
The electricity company delivered to Hai Pa: "The Electric Company has not recorded any malfunctions in the area. If the municipality has a malfunction in the street lighting system, they should contact us. In any case, the outages are not the result of malfunctions in the Electric Company's network."
Everything is dark in most areas of Haifa ..I reduced my working hours because of coming home in the dark to add to that the pigs that are popping up everywhere ..what is up with this city feels like they are going backwards instead of promoting Haifa
But I'm sure it will be felt in the upcoming elections
Apparently they are waiting for a protest near the mayor's office
Anyone who experienced a fall at night in the heart of the Gulf, breaking an elbow, surgery and hospitalization for two days, dysfunction and rehabilitation for months, warns of the terrible trauma
The maintenance function has been deficient for years
There is no proper lighting in the center of Carmel either, only half the lighting, there is a real danger of falling only after an injury will they treat it like this in our city only after injuries and accidents with the pigs have arisen in her city
LED lights = generally weak lighting. NALG headlights = strong and high quality lighting.
In Kiryat Haim on Brodtsky Street there was no lighting throughout. I complained to Moked 106 and already a day later the lighting was back on..Even if I complain about cleanliness, it is taken care of immediately. Only bags for collecting ungulate excrement, unfortunately, are not available anywhere. There are no facilities for that either.
Dear residents,
It has been dark in this city for five years, I called a number
times to the municipality hotline,
Regarding headlights not on in the street.
Darkness in this city is commonplace.
This is how the third largest city operates.
sad…..
It used to be fun to live here
I wonder if the streets are dark in the street of the Curse Keri Kalish...
And there are plants that invade the roadways and scratch the cars
Dark so you don't see the potholes on the road and sidewalks. Pleasant fall sponsored by the municipality
Eyal is right. They have a method. They are on purpose
Carrying the repairs. They are trying to make money. This happens not only in Haifa. It also happens in other settlements. I happen to be able to testify that it happened in one of the settlements. Also in some streets in the settlement. And so all week the residents suffered that there was no lighting in the streets. We complained and between the offices they harassed them and they didn't fix it right away. Finally they fixed it.. You should not give up, it's a shame for your health. You just have to persist in demanding a repair. Just don't give up.
Eyal Tsudar They have a method. They are on their way
Carry the repairs. They earn money. Not only in Haifa, this happens in other settlements as well. I am a case that happened in several streets in another settlement. And in the example of the week he had all the residents who were not young. the streets hang up And they were run over by the refusing sea. Finally they fixed it.. you don't need to charge, it's a shame for your health. Do not give up, you should persist in the demand for correction and not give up. give up .
It's true that the lighting is weak, they don't replace it with new headlights
It seems that they let the sleepers drive on purpose to save twice on changing a flashlight and on electricity.
I'm sorry. Work with the eyes.. financial savings for the municipality. Obviously, this is not a malfunction.. because a malfunction did not suddenly happen... I noticed that even on the sea road the headlights work but in a dim way... electricity flow is reduced... so we will also know who to direct our reduced voices to
For all those who claim that someone is lying, there is another option. Both sides are simply incapable of doing their job. I mean, idiots.
There is also no lighting at Shad Moriah corner of Wolfson and all my inquiries were answered because the fault is known and excavations need to be carried out. Sounds like we are being worked on. The path is dark and scary to walk on
Even in Hantaka, I was told by the municipality that it was a power outage.
It doesn't matter who is responsible, if I fall because I can't see, they will pay for it
It is also quite dark on Hanita Street in Neve Shanan. There is lighting only where the shops are open. Most of the street is dark in the evening.
Someone here is not telling the truth... why lie to citizens who pay property taxes and get mud in the face.
Bar Rav Hai. Total darkness.
In Hadar there is light in the streets.
There is also another phenomenon, dark parts in which flashlights have been canceled.
Or the light burns out and then months until they come to replace it.
For example, staircases in Carmelia about 50 percent of the lights are missing and then going down in the dark is very dangerous!!
Someone here is lying. In the elections that will be held at the electricity company, we will require the candidates (that is, the pages) to pledge that they will act as required. At the same time, we will demand this from the municipality if and when there are already elections!!!!! Who are you waiting for???
I have been wondering for almost a year that the southern entrance to Haifa is at the bridge leading to the tunnels - there is no lighting at all, the bridge is dark even though there are light poles, as above when leaving Haifa heading south when you pass under the road crossing, the area is dark and dangerous.
This is an important treatment!!!!
It is also true that in the Shaprincek neighborhood there is no electricity. It's really scary to go out. There are a lot of pigs. I complained. They said that in a few days they would sort it out.
All you have to do is simply call 103 and report, and then they direct everyone to a hotline. Another thing that will help. A page that is not lit. In the street simply take from the same page there is a number and with the addition of letters. So, according to this, they know where the problem is, therefore, a lamp does not light up on the same page. And this should be transferred to the center.
Want to report Alta in the Mayrhof Square parking lot. There is a large shopping center there, and precisely in the parking lot bordering the playground - turn off the lights!!!
I was shopping there yesterday, and I barely made it back to the car. It was only 20:00 in the evening.
Why doesn't the municipality allow people who shop at the shopping center to return to their car safely???
And by the way, I saw giant pigs in this neighborhood too!
Let's hope Diona Yahav, or one of his assistants, reads the messages here on the site.
