(Hai Fe) - For over 100 days, the abductees have been held captive by Hamas. During every moment these days, the families of the abductees are anxious, frustrated and waiting for the return of their loved ones safe and sound. In addition, the families of the abductees who are not alive are waiting for their bodies to be returned.
Boaz Zalmanovich, son of Aryeh Zalmanovich who was murdered on the 40th day of captivity, is interviewed by Lahi Pa News Corporation.
Boaz Zalmanovich's father, who was born and raised in Kibbutz Nir Oz, was kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas on that cursed and black Sabbath. On the 40th day of his captivity, he was informed that he had been murdered. Boaz says in an interview with Lahi Fa that the state has a moral responsibility to return the abductees because it failed to protect them. First the state must return the living abductees and then the dead and bodies.

In an interview, Boaz recounts the difficult moments that the families of the abductees are going through: "It is a situation of enormous uncertainty where the people dearest to us are in the hands of murderers and we do not know what is happening to them - if their situation is difficult or even if they survived the captivity."
About his father Aryeh Zalmanovich, who died in captivity, he says: "My father was born in Haifa. He was a member of Hashomer HaTsair's nest and together with his friends they founded Kibbutz Nir Oz in 1955. There he lived his life until October 7th.
My father was a farmer who was mainly involved in field crops of wheat and sunflowers. He was self-employed and worked even when they told him he needed to retire. My brother and I left the kibbutz many years ago and mother passed away 4 years ago. He had a hobby of collecting stamps all these years and that is what characterized him."
The army did not fight inside Nir Oz
I have already been to the kibbutz many times after Black Shabbat. This is a community of 400 people, of which there are 9 murdered whose bodies are in Gaza, 40 kidnapped and returned children, and another 28 who are being held by Hamas - we hope they are alive, but we never know. Although a third of the houses in the kibbutz were burned or damaged, when you enter the kibbutz everything is green - the grass is growing and the flowers are blooming. What hurts is that on October 7 there was no army in Nir Oz. The one who protected the residents was the standby squad, the bodies of three of the murdered from which are in the hands of Hamas. Two more are kidnapped. The state abandoned the residents of the Otaf and the people of Nir Oz. You have to ask why it happened and how.'
The state has a moral responsibility to return the abductees because it failed to protect them
We the families of the abductees want the living abductees to return. Everyone should imagine what they would do and demand if one of the abductees was a member of their family. We want the abductees alive first and only then to destroy Hamas. The state has a moral responsibility to return the abductees because it failed to protect them. She needs to get them back at any cost and time is very critical.
Our father was a sick man even though he was active and independent. He lasted 40 years in captivity. There are people in captivity who are sick and injured and do not receive treatment. Although the war on Hamas is justified, it will not return the abducted to us. Those who oppose the deal because there are other more important things to take care of - I do not wish for your loved ones to be in the hands of Hamas.'
"You have to choose life"
Boaz tells about the match:
We have no choice, we have to choose life. We live in the hope that the abductees will be returned alive and later also the body of father who is no longer alive. The state has an obligation to return the kidnapped. The kidnapped must be returned, without that there will be no resurrection.
