The road from Haifa to the Tziporit industrial area passes through the green expanses of the Jezreel Valley, the renewed sowing in the moshavim fields, the olive groves and the oak groves and ends at one logistics warehouse where A combat support brand for soldiers from all over the country.
HML with a beating heart
In the last three weeks, I joined the volunteers at the Logistics Center (MRL) in the Tziporit industrial area. From the first day of the war, the warehouse functions, if you will, as a combat supporter for soldiers from all over the country alongside significant help for families of evacuees, support for local businesses and resource mobilization.
If I had to describe in three words the people who continue to come and volunteer at the civilian HML, then these are people who don't-say-no. For three months now, women, men, retirees, high school graduates, self-employed people, and employees have been coming to MarloG to work morning or afternoon shifts and they The beating heart that drives the place. Together they operate an exemplary organized system, making sure to answer all inquiries that come in, connect people, take care of soldiers, respond to evacuees, transport products, build shelters in the field and support local businesses.
Israeli spirit
There is an Israeli spirit here whose strength is hard to ignore, a spirit of unconditional giving and mobilization, these are people who come to work and the ego struggles from them onwards. The only desire that unites everyone, locals and volunteers from abroad who come to the place, is to lend a shoulder and lend a hand and they do this through the organization 'Brothers in Arms' which with the outbreak of the war rebranded itself and today operates as the largest and most significant civil organization in Israel.
Women in the barrel
It is one of the projects that the Tsivorit volunteers are excited about and are working to expand while caring for the fighting women who are in the field. Once every two weeks, donations of hygiene, cleaning and toiletry products are received from companies and businesses in the economy for the fighting women who are in the field and a team of hundreds of volunteer drivers deployed throughout the country, transports the products to their destination.
Tarpaulin gazebos
It has been three months that the volunteers of the Civil Defense Force have been traveling all over the country and collecting from people the iron rods of the Nahalim Sukkots that are in their homes. In the logistics warehouse (the Marlog) the rods are piled up and tarpaulins are tied around them so that hundreds of units in the field can enjoy a place protected from rain and wind. In the same way, wooden surfaces are also donated that pave the Sukkots and allow the soldiers to gather in the place without the heavy mud.
Civilian HML - from the beginning
Eyal Meirovitz , the director of the logistics center, the civilian HML, in the Tziporit industrial park tells about the establishment of the volunteer organization on the spot: "After Black Sabbath I found myself looking for how to contribute to the national effort and take part in the action. At that time, many aid initiatives arose in the region, but there was no coordination between them. I offered myself to the civilian HML and was recruited to the establishment team of the HML and the Northern Regional Council to carry out the same coordination. This is how the "Northern Aid Initiatives Community" was actually established in which we provided an umbrella of services to all the local aid initiatives. Since then the organizational structure has changed and today when I manage Ham "To the soldiers and the Northern Logistics Center, which is part of the Northern Operation of the Civil Defense, I am proud to take part in what we have done here in recent months."
Tarpaulin canopy - outdoor wedding
The "Tarpaulin Canopy" the exciting wedding of Danny and Danden from a company in the Nahal and the "Tarpaulin Class" we did for the students of the Armored Company are some of the projects we initiated at Tsiforit. In "Warm and Pleasant" we mobilized to transport home-made food, in "Operation Malvish" we distribute warm coats to soldiers in the north In the cold and in the south, in "Women in the Cane" that received thousands of packages with hygiene products for female fighters, as part of the "Surfaces in the camp" project, we supplied the units that sank in the mud with wooden surfaces donated by so many factories and companies, we supported external volunteers who provided laundry services to the soldiers, we set up stores "Clothing Brothers" in Haifa and Tiberias for evacuees who could come and take first hand clothing for free, personal response to individuals and groups and all as part of a protective wall of our company. This is how you build a wall."
I can no longer be useful in the army
Mario Uttmacher, born in Argentina, lives in Kiryat Tivon and is a regular volunteer at the civilian HML. "One of the first projects established in the HML was called the "Tarpaulin Dome" and within a few days of the moment the tarpaulin domes were sent to the field, the demand increased with dozens of inquiries from units. "I am retired, I used to work A social worker, a family therapist, a family mediator, a probation officer for adults and I am also a volunteer in the Aran. Three weeks ago I joined the volunteering system at the civilian HML in preparing a "tarpaulin dome".
We receive the long tarpaulin sheets, create rivet rings with a machine and cut according to the dimensions of the sukkah that will be built and the sheets will cover it. In fact, we create a sheltered place for the soldiers in the field, from the rain and the wind. I feel significant here. In the army I can no longer be useful, while here I helpful and active".
Everyone needs another pair of hands
Jack Graham from Australia tells Live Here: "I was in Israel in 1979 for four years and this is where I met my wife. We have three children with whom we wandered in Israel in Nahal Oz, Korazim and Amiad until we moved to live in Australia. After Shiva in October we felt that we could not stay far from Israel and bought plane tickets for three months to come and volunteer where Yes. During our visit here, we helped pick avocados, volunteered at the headquarters of the families of the abductees and helped guard a goat pasture. Everyone needs another pair of hands and we came to offer ours."
People whose hearts are in the right place in the world
Noam Nov Kolodni tells Lahi Pa: "I am 18 years old, I finished 1,500th grade in the summer at the Reali School in Haifa and I live in Kiryat Tivon. Before, I volunteered at the HML in Hantaka of the Haifa protest, when it closed I arrived here. I already had experience as an information coordinator, before that I had not done anything similar. When I arrived here it was the first day of the "Tarpaulin Dome" project. We thought that within a week we would be able to answer all the requests that flowed to us from the area. But in the meantime we have already issued XNUMX units together with the crazy team of volunteers who come regularly, or groups, people whose hearts are in the right place in the world."
A private initiative that became a national project
Yariv Dow from Sde Nehemiah, does not stop volunteering even at the expense of the independent business that awaits him: "When the war broke out, I was involved in transporting equipment and food to the soldiers in the various army camps in the Galilee. On one of the trips, I was told that there was a demand from soldiers for a rain cover and we started rolling it out. We were three guys from the north and we connected with a tailor in Hazor HaGalilit and together we started collecting tarps from all over the country which we sewed so that they would fit the Sukkot Nahalim that we brought from home. When we realized that there was a greater demand than what we were able to produce, we connected with the civilian military in Tsifurit and from then until today we operate in their logistics center with the help of many good people who joined our efforts."
From Alaska to the position of a fighter in the IDF
Karen Ferguson, volunteer: "I came to Israel to see my son, who is a lone soldier who serves in the Israel Defense Forces' rescue unit. Since the October 7th we have been constantly engaged in fundraising for the IDF and Israel. The time we spent at the logistics warehouse in Tsipurit and the warm meeting with other volunteers allowed us to serve the Israeli society. We are grateful for this and the activity of the "Arms Brothers" organization, which contributes a lot to society and the country."
A brand with a message
In the civilian KML of the "Brothers in Arms" organization in the center and in Tsipurit, over 10,000 women and men volunteer, they have a maximum geographical distribution in the field, they are able to be flexible and adapt their organizational structure according to changing needs and encourage social initiatives that are allocated financial resources from many donations received in Israel and around the world . These data allow them to be evaluated for the future as well and their ambition to create cooperation with settlements and authorities is correct and will continue to brand them as the most significant civil organization in Israel.
The vision to continue to influence Israeli society at all levels in the fields of education, community and employment is good news that needs to be continued and supported since the civilian CML should and can be a central player in the country's reconstruction process.
All the best to those who do the craft! Cheers to everyone! Indeed a "factory" with a soul! Keep your hands strong!
Well done for the donations and the help to the soldiers.
When we are united there is no us.
Enough with the nonsense.
well done.
I have a sukkah to donate.
Who do you contact?
All the best. Good luck
We are all brothers, Anbal
It is very interesting what exactly the bibists who comment here, engage in volunteering these days, apart from slandering, you don't see them in the field, volunteering is a dirty word for them, even in wartime.
These were not and will never be my brothers, until today we knew the religions - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and now a new religion has arisen - Bibism.
Very similar to Judaism only from the ten commandments they deleted the word "no"
steal
kill
You will covet….
100% right
brothers to harm.
Breaking - the IDF - silence.
Now they disguise themselves as those who help the fighters. It's a mask. They encouraged refusals and divisions just 3 months ago on every channel and forum.
The brothers in arms have a clear goal, to thwart the right and Bibi at the head,
This is stealth and really not volunteering.
Those who volunteer there either have a goal (as above) or are unaware that their mind has been hijacked.
I wish for this organization to break up soon or throw out "brothers to kiss" from it, don't forget that until 7/10 they were brothers to refuse.
Peace
How can you join to volunteer Ezra
Footnotes,
The road to Tsipori passes through thousands of houses of Arab settlements.
Marlog: Only with the help of Google was I able to understand, a whole warehouse.
Are they all brothers? Whoever turns over tefillin stands and blows up a prayer on Yom Kippur is not my brother...
Well done. Good luck ❣️
