The year 2023 ended just this week, and at the Akim Haifa association, last weekend, they awarded badges of excellence to 4 female and male employees who stood out in their work in the past year, an outstanding team and a "Dear Haifa" badge, in a particularly exciting event.

Michal Segal, CEO of the Akim Haifa Association:

As an organization founded on its personnel, we see great importance in strengthening and retaining our staff. The outstanding employees see the recipients of the service first and foremost as human beings and make sure that care is adapted and dedicated to their needs, they are characterized by creative thinking, organizational loyalty and a 'big head'. We were given the opportunity to stop for a moment from our extensive work, to say thank you and to appreciate the great work of all our excellent employees. All of them, without exception, are special people like no other, who show mountains of care, professionalism, warmth, devotion and love towards their friends.

Also in the coming year we will continue to provide essential services to people with disabilities and help as much as possible in order to promote public awareness of these special people. I am proud to head an organization whose people are these.

The Akim Haifa association protects the rights of people with disabilities, provides them with educational services
and treatment with the aim of leading them to full exploitation of their abilities and full integration into the community. The association's programs for 70 years or more for education and care have changed the lives of tens of thousands of children, adults and the elderly with disabilities, as well as the lives of their family members, in the Haifa area and the north.

The association operates a housing system, a special education school, kindergartens, day centers for adults, social clubs for children and adults and other activities, which lead to self-expression, free choice and the realization of one's abilities in the community in which one lives as a citizen who contributes to society.
