(haipo) - What happens when you come to validate your bus ticket and the validation device doesn't work? Many passengers complain about cases where the validation devices malfunction and they find themselves forced to choose between risking a fine or giving up the trip and thus missing an appointment, a doctor's appointment or getting to work.
We have often published articles in Chai Pa about unpleasant and even violent incidents that occurred between passengers who did not validate their tickets, and inspectors who "caught them red-handed". Sometimes it is verbal violence and not infrequently also physical, when the passengers are young boys or girls or alternatively older people who have difficulty moving, who are forced to get off the bus after not being able to validate the ticket.
To be fair, we will mention that in some cases it is the inspectors who are attacked by passengers who refuse to pay for the trip. In any case, it is evident that the issue causes quite a bit of discomfort. And there is no logical way to do this?
According to reports and complaints that reach the Haifa system, passengers often feel frustrated and are forced to decide whether to put up with the fine they expect to receive, or whether to give up on an important appointment or plan after discovering that the validation device is malfunctioning and there is no one to talk to. Passengers tell of cases in which they made every effort to search for another device in the vicinity, but to no avail.

Daniel Stricha, a public transport commuter, tells Lahi Pa:
"I contacted all the parties and unfortunately I did not receive any response. It does not make sense for a passenger to be held responsible for the failure of Egged, the Ministry of Transportation, or any other public body. It is not possible that when a company decides that the only way it is willing to accept payment for the trip is through a multi-card - line, and responsibility for non-maintenance or malfunctions will be the passenger's responsibility. The responsibility for maintaining the charging stations at the stations and the parking devices on the buses should apply to Egged and the Ministry of Transportation, not me nor the traveling public.
"It can't be that when I come to load the card at the station, not a single machine is functioning, and neither is any machine on the other side of the street, nor any of those at the next station (to which I have to run on foot) or in front of it - it makes no sense that my choice would be between giving up the trip , which means loss of livelihood or missing an essential doctor's appointment, and paying a fine. The same applies to cases where the card is loaded, but no validation device on the bus is working properly. If the screen shows "Please approach the driver" and the driver shouts "I'm not interested!" - also Here it is unthinkable that the passenger will be the one who bears the consequences, if he cannot afford to simply cancel his plans and give up the trip."
Maged said in response:
"For the past few months, there have been communication problems in the northern region that also affect the tracking devices on Egged buses in Haifa. These are communication problems that have nothing to do with the devices' correctness, and the Egged company updated the Ministry of Transportation on the issue about a month ago. According to the Ministry of Transportation's guidelines, when two-thirds of the tracking devices on buses are not working, no Reports are given. However, since these are problems related to wireless communication, it is possible that the passengers were unable to validate and when the inspector boarded the situation changed. In such cases, we recommend the public to contact the Ministry of Transportation so that it can conduct an inspection based on the technological means at its disposal and within its authority to cancel the report. According to the instructions of the Ministry of Transportation, a passenger who has not charged is required to pay a report and visitors have no authority to drive otherwise. Regarding Egged's charging stations in Haifa, we are not aware of any unusual malfunctions. It is important to note that most of the charging stations belong to other operators and Egged is not responsible for their repairs. If you encounter problems with positions belonging to Egged, we will contact Egged's Kochvit 2800 service center."
The Ministry of Transportation stated in response: "Within the framework of operational control, the control division of the National Public Transportation Authority carries out routine controls horizontally for all operators, using covert controllers, visible controllers, and public inquiries that reach the office. In accordance with the compensation appendices signed by the operators, every time a controller boards a bus and an improper validation device is found, An exception is raised against him to the enforcement system and his response. At the end of the process, the exceptions come up and are presented to the Ministry of Transportation's enforcement committee, which recommends the distribution of agreed compensations against the exceptions to validation devices. The operator is responsible for the integrity and correctness of the validation devices, and he bears the responsibility of verifying their correctness at the beginning of each trip."
Have you tried contacting the Ministry of Transportation?
In every channel, a link flows to Yarkon and from there to the sea...
Don't expect an answer.
Only if you manage to make an appointment for another month or more in their office. In front of an official, they might take care of your face.
There is no response on the website or on the phone.
dead
Turn off the light
And the public will be spared the huge salary costs.
If one device doesn't work what do we do??
Must check the other devices??
Since public complaints do not help, and it became clear that the passenger is always to blame, a solution to these problems must be found. As a pensioner, I have no reason not to validate a card, because my travel as of today is free. And if I get up in the middle of the trip to check if the device is working again, and God forbid I fall while driving, or a driver suddenly stops, then who will take responsibility? It is not possible for drivers not to treat passengers in this context. Especially if they give the inspectors permission if they are elderly. Because in any case the elderly person has no reason not to attack because his trip is free as of today. If we have already won this privilege, then why punish? When in Haifa it is known that there is no reception in places in the city, and there are disruptions. And if there are some people on the bus who did not validate the ticket, the inspectors should be instructed to consider this. At least this.
I went up to the matron and the devices didn't work, the passengers told the driver but he didn't respond, as if the devices inside the bus belong to another bus company, or maybe they even belong to the company that operates the light rail in Tel Aviv?!
Happened to me too. I boarded an Egged bus in Haifa and the driver said he couldn't fit. He said I would wait at the next stop and change buses there because it doesn't work for him. Then an inspector came up and the driver explained to her that he was unable to attack. She immediately came to me and asked for the card to try to help. But instead she just wrote me a bill of NIS 100!! I asked for her name and she refused to identify herself and ran off the bus. I contacted Egged and the Ministry of Transportation and they refused to comment. They just sent a letter that if I don't pay they will seize my account. A glorious extortionist crime state!
There is no connection between the time shown on the digital display at the stations and the arrival time of the buses……who cares about that???
I validated the trip according to the law, the inspector gave me a report on all of this. He claimed that I attacked near his boarding the bus, I just gave birth, it's not okay, you have to take it into account. And he gave me a fine that the dear Egged company is not willing to cancel, it's a real shame and disgrace.
This is true and very problematic
It is important to note that there is a lot going on in Carmelit and it is not possible to pay through the app
Validation control is necessary, as long as they recruit inspectors with common sense and a heart. Not only thugs, who will trouble every passenger at any cost. Even if it was validated as required - and there are some.
When there is a location problem, the code scan also does not work because the application is based on location settings.
Recently, there have been very large disruptions, it is not clear whether it is the security system or PFA officials who set up deliberate disruptions
For example, in the center of Carmel it shows 'Beirut Airport' or addresses in southern Lebanon!!
There are also a lot of streets in Haifa with reception problems and this also affects cell phones and for years no solutions have been found for this.
The situation also routinely disrupts the assault machines on some streets and other location-based devices.
It is of course possible to attack by scanning the code as mostly teenagers do.
Residents of Haifa and Kiryat should stop using apps to attack and return to Rab-Ko, at least until the end of the war.
The GPS disruptions disrupt the proper activity of the authentication apps, so you should not rely on them. Less comfortable, but nothing to do.
The driver doesn't care that the device doesn't work, and there isn't a week that there is a problem with the devices. You are forced to use a public transport app.
Where are the days when he had a normal monthly free without all the nonsense that exists today???..
It has also existed on buses in Jerusalem for a long time, on Egged and Superbus buses!!
Why don't you address another problem
When you leave the house there are all kinds of risks
Accidents, terrorists, missiles, falls, etc.
So there is another dangerous factor in the field which is the inspectors
As in the jungle there are predatory animals
There are inspectors on the bus
this is what there is.
Location-based applications are not working recently in certain areas such as the Haifa Bay because the security system disrupts the location services on purpose and this was also published in the media.
It is therefore not recommended to rely on such applications.
And in addition there is the problem of location disruptions and then the app doesn't work. My son was traveling on the bus, Mobit was not working due to location disruptions and got a report even though he showed her a screenshot and showed her that Mobit was still not working. Her answer was that you need to equip yourself with a backup line. Just stupid.
The problem has existed for a very long time and not a few months as claimed in the legend and also inside a bus
If all the validation devices on the bus / matron are not working - according to the traffic regulations, the passengers are exempt from payment.
Recommendation: If you got on the bus and the attack device is not working - keep an eye on it and attack immediately when it returns to normal operation.
It happens quite a lot in matronies that the validation doesn't work.
When the device doesn't work and you need to track the driver, the driver starts to drive away and the old men and children fly everywhere as soon as they start driving or close the doors, it's a fear of God!! They also toss you around Kibini Mat and as if nothing is happening as it happened to me that the descent is slower than the actual grieving and they have no consideration, they have to do the route at certain times and no one cares about anything!!
I'm pretty sure that with the remote control Egged makes the validation devices on the bus stop working and turn them back on when the inspector gets on the bus. As a senior citizen, I travel for free and I have no reason not to attack like this and more than once I find myself arguing with the inspector that the device did not work. I received 4 reports and wanted to go to court to give a platform to the issue and I regretted that Egged canceled the report. I guess the computer showed them that it was a senior citizen who is exempt from paying and they realized that they came out badly...
It happened to me that I got on and not a single device on the bus worked. But after about fifteen minutes, when the inspector came up, the devices also started working again. All my complaints didn't help and I received a report. Upsetting.
"We don't want to find a solution, so you'll have to bear the responsibility in our place, because we're not really interested" What fun it is to just pay a fine and then deal with canceling it.
right. Public transportation in Israel is simply bad!
Poor people in Israel must leave the country because of the high transportation prices
