"Fly" at a wine bar in Bat Galim

A little escapism for the war period, to get out of the reality that was imposed on us and we don't know when it will end and let the soul "fly" and be freed through a unique culinary culture in the Bat Galim neighborhood. We want to especially support local businesses in the city of Haifa these days.

The wine bar

About 8 months ago, Aviron (in French) opened in the Bat Galim neighborhood in Haifa, a fine wine bar that combines an excellent deli run by the champion Kaborak, and wonderful ice cream in a variety of flavors that is made on site every day in a variety of flavors.

Wrecked days and the flower girl

Especially in these troubled days, I felt the need to paint one of the scenes in the wine bar on Bat Galim Avenue. The flower girl sits near the windowsill of the bar from the outside and in the background of the surrounding neighborhood, with allusions to the Washington trees that have characterized the boulevard since its inception about 100 years ago. I wanted to express the smells, the tastes, the music and the fine interior design, with the green painted walls and the girl wearing a red floral kimono. It's no secret that I often draw, document, travel and enjoy what the neighborhood has to offer. I have already been fascinated by her and hope that those who visit her feel exactly what I feel.
