(Live here • War of Iron Swords) - Sergeant Ahya Daskel, 19 years old from Haifa, was killed last night, Tuesday 12/12/23, in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Sergeant Ahya Daskel is one of the eight IDF soldiers who were killed in the battles yesterday and whose names were released this morning. Seven fighters were killed in the battle along with Daskel, and another fighter, Sergeant Oriya Yaakov, was killed in another incident in the Gaza Strip.

The late Sergeant Ahya Daskal, a fighter in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, 19 years old from Haifa, is one of the eight who fell in the night's battle (13/12/23) in the neighborhood of Shejaia in the north of the Gaza Strip.
The late Daskel lived in Neve Shanan, was educated in his youth at the Bnei Akiva Yavneh Ramat Alon Yeshiva in Haifa and was a third grade student at the Hesder Yeshiva in Kiryat Shmona.
Her brother left behind a pair of parents and eight siblings. He is the second student of the Kiryat Shmona settlement yeshiva who was killed in the battle in northern Gaza, after a month ago the late Sergeant Eitan Dishon was killed in the battle in the Gaza Strip.
An orderly announcement about the date of the funeral, which will be held today, will be published later.
Shlomit Daskel, the mother of her 14th brother, said this morning: "Her brother was never a big talker, he was gentle, introverted, but with a huge and kind heart. Anyone who asked him for something, always did it happily and always took care of his nephews and everyone loved him very much."

The mother also said: "Her brother was a man of books, read a lot of philosophical and profound books and devoted time to studying Torah. As a mother I am very worried and stressed, so I asked my husband not to tell me where he is. They did not tell me that he was in Gaza, but I understood that he was in a place where he could not speak , because I sent him messages and saw that he was not available. My husband was in contact with him, they had a very warm and close relationship, they would talk every day. I was very worried about him and it was less good for him, because he always wanted to be busy.
Her brother was an idealist in every fiber of his being, wrote Rambam's sayings to himself and spoke of the desire to do the maximum. He was always goal oriented and very planned. He really wanted to go to Golani and get to Siret Agoz."
Her brother's mother, Shlomit:
"I'm crushed, it's impossible to deal with this news, it still hasn't caught on that I'm talking about him in the past tense. I walk around the house and remember where he sat and what he liked to eat. I take comfort in the fact that he's happy that he wanted to enter Gaza, he saw it as an ideal and a contribution to the State of Israel ".
The head of the Hesder Yeshiva Kiryat Shmona, Rabbi Ariel Barkai:
"On the one hand, my brother was a quiet and gentle guy, and on the other hand, he knew what he wanted and where he was going. When all his friends enlisted in the Nahal, it was important to my brother to enlist in the Golani and he separated from his guys and enlisted separately. Although he was not with his friends in the military service, they say that it was important for him to make sure to be a part of the spiritual and religious place. In the army - he managed to fit in and was one of the very significant guys in the unit. She always lived with a radiant and pleasant face and had inner strength."
Rabbi Yishai Levinger, the rabbi of her late brother at the Hesder yeshiva, added:
"The phrase most associated with him is 'say little and do much'. He came to the yeshiva alone, a decision that was not obvious, and within seconds he became loved by everyone. He also decided to join the army in Golani while his friends went to the Nahal nucleus. It was very meaningful to him. He was always with a half smile and in everything he did, in studies and in the army, he always chose to 'talk less and do more'. A little before the fighting we were in touch and he said he would return to the yeshiva when possible. Unfortunately, he won't be coming back."
Container. Be ashamed of your response. Learn the facts first. And besides, why is it famous? For the Tehel interpretation, this is a disciplinary problem and will only be dealt with there. Certainly not in the Knesset
Michal you should be ashamed to talk badly about our country like that and call on young people not to enlist.
Shame and shame on your kind of citizens, you are exactly serving the purpose of the cruel enemy.
Shame on the country. Trash country, don't enlist!!! They arrested soldiers who were praying in the mosque. Bin commanders, we saw what their policy led to!
Of blessed memory !
My brother Daskel is a hero of Israel. A noble soul. The 14th and will come to account with the scum of Gaza.
