(haipo) - A metal fence erected around a residential building at 23 Freud Street does not allow people who want to use the nearby stairs to go up and down them safely. These are the stairs that connect Freud and Eder streets.

Residents complain that an iron fence erected around the building at 23 Freud Street blocks the possibility of using the stair railing that connects Freud Street and Eder Street.
As I recall, the building at 23 Freud Street was one of the buildings that was severely damaged in the fire that raged in Haifa 7 years ago, in November 2016. While the rest of the Megakorim apartments and buildings that were damaged in the fire were renovated relatively quickly after the fire, or within a few months at the most, the building on Freud Street burned for years, Lack of disagreements as to how it should be renovated.
It should be noted that although the building was surrounded by fences, the renovation work has not yet begun, and in fact, even as of this moment, it seems that the final decision has not yet been made as to how it will be renovated.
Galia Becker, a resident of Haifa, whose mother lives in Ramat Eshkol, explains that the metal fence does not allow safe use of the stairs: "We built a metal wall around the building that burned in Freud, the wall is built on the railing between Freud Road and Idar Street. Those who have difficulty going down the stairs cannot use the railing while going down the stairs My mother often uses the stairs. She is 83 years old and needs the help of the railing. She has a hard time using the stairs."
And someone here asks about the fate of the poor residents of the burned building who have been dragged for 7 years without the possibility of returning to their restored building?? Property tax is abusing them...the municipality is not helping..and now an ugly fence where the disturbing thing is the railing?? The failure is huge..and the time has come to allow people while they are alive..and some of them are not sure that they will be able to rehabilitate.
This is exactly what the State Comptroller should be contacted about...but let's go...unfortunately there is no treatment for more important issues such as the lack of medicines that have fallen off the shelf..
And in the current situation in Bat Galim where even the ambulances are having trouble getting to the hospital... until a disaster happens here... no one gets excited...
Haifa. How does the Ministry of the Interior still leave her headless and not kick her out? There is no function. She has failed. running away from the city. Go home. Phones are not answered. The citizens of the city are not answered. The stories here in the newspapers are terrible. What a huge miss.
This is how it looks like contractors are doing jobs without the supervision of someone with a brain
The attitude of the Haifa city engineer to pedestrians and pedestrian safety in the city is disgraceful and justifies an appeal to the State Comptroller and a complaint to the Israel Police against the city engineer and the traffic and parking non-enforcement division that allows sidewalks throughout Haifa to be turned into barriers for the disabled and pedestrians by vehicles that take over the sidewalks. We must take pictures and complain to the state auditor and the police urgently.
