After expressing support for Hamas - female students from Haifa were released in the kidnap deal

(Live here and the "Iron Swords" war) - Two female students from the Technion and the Technion School of Engineering were released last week as part of the exchange of captives/prisoners with Hamas. The female students who were released were part of dozens of prisoners, who were released as part of the plan, in which every evening prisoners who were in Israeli prisons were released in exchange for about ten Israeli hostages at the same time as the ceasefire.

"The most beautiful day in history"

The students are Rita Mord, 21 years old from Nazareth, who was released on 29/11/23, and Shahd Savitat, 19 years old, from the Muslim minority in Isfaya, who was released on 30/11/23. The indictment against Savitat was filed after the day the war broke out she wrote on social media that that day was the most beautiful day in history and that it was the most delicious coffee she drank...

In her investigation Mord claimed that her words were written without connection to the outbreak of the war, but as a response to other things. Savitat was a student at the engineering school in Haifa and received harsh condemnations in Usafia, the Druze settlement where she lived and which has a very high percentage of residents who serve in the army.

Rita Mord is a student at the Technion and lives in Nazareth. On the day the war broke out, she published messages on social media expressing support for both the war and Hamas. In one case, she published a picture of a tractor breaking through the border while the Israeli army was sleeping.

At the beginning of November, an indictment was filed against her by the North District Prosecutor's Office, for inciting terrorism and revealing identification with a terrorist organization. At the end of November, as mentioned, the criminal proceedings against her were stopped.

A student who studies at the Technion told Lahi Fe today that she cannot bear the thought that these students will return to school: "The students are afraid to come to the Technion, and we feel that we are not acting decisively enough for us to feel safe coming to the campus. A lot of women feel that they are afraid. I would expect that they would not let anyone of the students who support terrorism to return, and it is not only those who were released as part of the kidnapping deal. In the end, for us, there is no difference between the female students who were released and the students who expressed support for Hamas and were not arrested for it."

'A hearing will be held for the student'

The management of the school of engineers said: "The student was invited by us for a clarification call before a hearing and did not come. She is invited again for a hearing before the suspension. If she arrives, a hearing will be held for her, if not, a hearing will be held in her absence."

'You will not be able to study at the Technion again'

The Technion responded: "As we previously announced, if the student was indeed released as part of the deal, she will not be able to return and study at the Technion."

  1. It's a shame they didn't release them directly to Gaza. They would be received there according to the best tradition of Hamas

  2. I wish them what the girls went through at the party and in the kibbutzim

  3. How quickly those who hate, those who seek peace will support, those who seek coexistence will complain. The hedonists who sit above will ignore and justify. When will the Middle East understand?

  4. Did the University of Haifa and its rector remove them permanently or will they also be heard in the Knesset until they resign?

  5. Anyone who expresses support for Hamas should lose Israeli citizenship and move into exile.

  6. So let them be kicked out of the Technion or the university. Or even with them it depends on the context!!! No place of study and no place of work will employ them. That they must leave the country!

  7. A response to Moses and a half.
I'm sure that's not your name. You are surely a Muslim who supports terrorism or an extreme leftist like those who posted posts supporting terrorism, otherwise I don't understand why you don't post such stupid things.

  8. The ones to blame are the universities, the courts and the crazy left that allows demonstrations on campuses for supporters of terrorism and others who benefit from affirmative action at the expense of Jews

  9. At the University of Haifa they will receive them with welcome and respect.

  10. Maybe really innocent? Just put up a stupid post and got caught for no wrongdoing, and now you're just tarnished for life?

  11. A lax country that loses itself to know. Any Muslim bride like this: cancellation of citizenship, a bag with 3 bottles of water and 4 rolls, and to pass through Kunitra. In Syria she will have a better life. All teachers are treacherous. What can we add about the Technion that is loose... shame.

  12. The bitches thought they had victory on the way. Now they only had to choose one name in their underwear

  13. Our judges got cold feet just like the heads of UK universities. One law for all those who support torture, denial of citizenship and all the rights that go with it, publication of the verdict + photo and deportation.

  14. Why don't you show their pictures? I'm a son... of... if I don't shoot them and break them up

  15. Any student studying at this or that academic institution that supports the Hamas murderers has no right to continue studying in our country 🇮🇱.

  16. Liel R. Why aren't they thrown from here to Gaza? Because we are stupid and useless.

  17. Anyone who sympathizes with and even blesses a massacre carried out by a criminal and vile terrorist organization that wants to murder Jews everywhere just because of their religion, should not be an Israeli citizen who enjoys any rights! For my part, let them move to live in Lebanon with all the "rights" that the Lebanese people have...

  18. Why not deny citizenship and send her one-way to Gaza.
The most beautiful day in history for the massacre of 1400 Israelis?!
And she remains an Israeli citizen?
