"Hanukkah school" for evacuee children in grades 1-12 • Ministry of Education

In preparation for the Hanukkah holiday - the Ministry of Education announces the expansion of the holiday (Hanukkah) schools for 4th-12th grade students who were evacuated from their homes.

The attempt to cancel the Hanukkah holiday failed

After the failure of the negotiations between the Ministry of Education and the teachers' organizations on the cancellation of the Hanukkah holiday (at the expense of the school days that did not take place at the beginning of the war), the holiday will take place in full, and at the same time the Ministry of Education announced that it will operate a school for the holidays throughout the days of the holiday and will even expand its activities to include the 4th-12th graders who were evacuated from their homes.

The ministry fully finances the cost of the frameworks for parents of students who were evacuated from their homes.

The Ministry of Education announced last night (Tuesday 5/12/23) that the holiday schools and kindergartens will be expanded during the Hanukkah holiday, so that the Ministry will also operate frameworks for XNUMXth-XNUMXth grade students who were evacuated from their homes. These frameworks will operate in addition to the frameworks of the schools and kindergartens that will operate during the holiday vacation for kindergarten and XNUMXst-XNUMXrd grade students from all over the country.

The school and kindergarten frameworks for the holidays, intended for kindergarten students and grades 10.12.23-14.12.23, will operate on Sunday - Thursday, 08-00, starting at 13:00 in the morning until XNUMX:XNUMX in the afternoon.

The activity in these frameworks will focus on strengthening the students' social abilities and providing tools for emotional coping, through a variety of group games and art and creative activities.

Frameworks and activities for the children of the evacuees

In addition to them, the ministry will also operate frameworks for 08th-30th graders who were evacuated from their homes, throughout the Hanukkah holiday. The classes for grades 13-00 who were evacuated from their homes will operate between XNUMX:XNUMX and XNUMX:XNUMX in the hospitality centers (hotels and guesthouses), and the students will go out at least twice a week for trips, museum tours, movie shows and various shows in cultural halls.

Frameworks for teenage boys and girls who were evacuated from their homes:

The frameworks for 16th-00th grade students who were evacuated from their homes will operate throughout the Hanukkah holiday in youth complexes in the local authorities, starting at 24:00 pm in the afternoon and ending at midnight. In these complexes there will be a variety of cultural performances, creative, baking and cooking workshops, trips and various activities for the youth.

The parents participate in the symbolic ownership of the frameworks, according to the socio-economic cluster:

  • Parents of students who were evicted from their homes by the state: free of charge.
  • Parents in Eshkolot settlements for grades 1-4: 10 NIS for each day of activity.
  • Parents in Eshkolot settlements for grades 5-7: 20 NIS for each day of activity.
  • Parents in Eshkolot settlements for grades 8-10: 30 NIS for each day of activity.
