(haipo) - Labor dispute at the Superbus company. The workers announced a labor dispute with the help of the organization "Power for Workers". The Superbus company says today: the power organization for workers chose a strange time for shutdown. We call on the organization to show responsibility and return to the negotiation table for the benefit of the employees and the traveling public.
The matron is currently not disabled, contrary to what we announced here in the initial publication.
From the Kach for Workers organization it was delivered to Lai Fa
The company's employees are protesting the failure of the negotiations for a collective agreement by the company's management, the company's injury to the employees through work arrangements and the company's refusal to update wages in accordance with the budget given by the Ministry of Transportation
The Union of Transportation Committees force the workers: "It is shameful to discover that under the auspices of the war, the company is trying to pressure the workers to give up conditions that exist in most of the industry, and even increases what it does and keeps a budget it received from the Ministry of Transportation intended for the workers' wages."
The Union of Forced Transportation Witnesses for Workers announced today (21.11.23) a labor dispute at the Superbus company. The company operates the Matron bus lines in Haifa, in the valleys (Afula, Tiberias, Yakneam and more) as well as many urban lines in Jerusalem.
The union also protests the management's policy of punishing drivers by changing their regular work arrangements, including employees returning from sick leave.
Haron Shubash, Chairman of the Workers' Committee at Superbus:
"Unreasonable pressure is placed on the drivers to accept any task, even if this affects medical treatment, family visitation arrangements, etc. Drivers know - if you have to go out sick? - you will be punished in hours. This atmosphere of threats is especially severe during war. Why should drivers who get sick be punished? The move This donkey goes against the collective agreement (signed in 2018) and it's time to put an end to it."
The union also accepts the company's refusal to update the salary in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation's guidelines since June 2023.
Itai Cohen, head of the transportation branch for employees:
"Superbus drivers mobilized for every task they were required to do in order to provide a routine for passengers during the war. Many of them are exposed to blatant physical and verbal violence - a 25% increase compared to the corresponding period last year. The company, for its part, sees the war as an opportunity to harm its employees and tries to force them to make painful concessions that will hurt them for a long time to come. We have already seen the consequences of this harm to drivers during a crisis in Corona - without updating the conditions of drivers and showing indifference to violence towards them, the existing shortage of drivers will increase.
The Union of Transport Committees has been conducting negotiations on a new collective agreement in the company for the past nine months. The union calls on the management to come to their senses and move forward in the negotiations to improve the workers' wages while at the same time respecting the existing agreements.
The response of the Superbus company:
"Superbus has been negotiating with the company's employees for several months, and this after a significant increase in their wages over the past year. Even during the war, the company continued negotiations for the benefit of the employees, and it is a shame that the workers' power organization once again chose to conduct it through the media and declare a labor dispute.
It is strange and puzzling that the Workers' Power organization is the only workers' organization that has chosen these days to declare a labor dispute, when the rest of the other workers' organizations in the public transportation sector in other companies have signed collective agreements in the last few weeks while conducting short, matter-of-fact negotiations, in order to improve the conditions for the workers immediately , in spite of the many difficulties in operating the OT on such complex days.
We call on the organization to show responsibility and return to the negotiation table for the benefit of the employees and the traveling public.
It should be noted that already today the company provides its drivers with the highest financial conditions in the industry, along with extensive social conditions.
Precisely at this time when the Israeli economy is in a state of emergency and there is economic and employment uncertainty, Superbus is a solid and stable workplace and guarantees its employees, stability and regular and rewarding work for many years."
Line 58 like a clock,
no strike
"The matron is currently not disabled, contrary to what we announced here in the initial publication"
And the Carmel yes?
It does not exist for financial gain. So what is there to strike?
The company earns a lot, including a government subsidy, and behaves in an unprecedented way in front of a shamefully weak sector.
For an iron hammer, the truth? I thought the same too.
I didn't understand when the strike was, the matrons are working as usual in Haifa
Enough to take advantage of the workers!
Unnecessary strike. Good morning.
Well, what's new in Haifa? All the drivers in Matoranita are from the Swedish sector!!! Yes, most of the drivers are from the sector that hates Israel in their hearts and souls. So how will it be seen that they support the war against Israel? This is also a way.
Regardless of this strike, the fact that all public traffic in Kiryat relies on one metro line is a transportation and security failure. We must quickly paint additional defective bus shelters also within the Kiryat across main streets in the lines that will connect Ata Motzkin and Bialik to Kiryat Haim and Kiryat Yam.
Just shame on you. At a time like this, during a war, people have to wait for buses risking their lives. When there is a matron. It just shows your egoism. Enough to make all your quarrels on the back of the little citizen.
The umpteenth strike in the last two years
First of all, they harm the traveling public
Neither a writer nor a boss
Bad service!
