The municipality of Kiryat Yam held today, Thursday 16.11.23/2023/XNUMX, the ceremony of handing out scholarships to the city's outstanding athletes for the year XNUMX. This is the second year in which the scholarship is awarded, led by the community, service and communication department and the urban sports department of the Kiryat Yam network of community centers.
Mayor David Ibn Zur Barach:
Playing sports means not only physical fitness and health, but also perseverance, determination, willpower and striving for excellence. I am proud of you for reaching impressive achievements, but even more proud that you have grown to be good people as a result. We will continue to promote popular and competitive sports with distinction and in recognition of the importance of the field for the community and the individual.
The director of the sports department, Shay Teplitsky, pointed out that Kiryat Yam is one of the only authorities in Israel that grants individual scholarships to athletes in addition to supporting the sports clubs.

- Swimming: Yulia Gordichuk and Ofir Simcha
- Dance: Shilot Levy Menachem and Yael Havit
- Artistic gymnastics: Daniel Rapaport
- Boccia: Nikita Prokopnov
- Sambo: Michael Volovik
- Judo: the era of Viniv Agronov
- Motor sports: Ariel Elkin
