Dogs are loose in the playground and the children are scared • "The mothers just go"

(haipo) - Residents in the Ramat Chen neighborhood in Haifa claim that there are dog owners who usually come to the playground in the neighborhood on Hochit Street 1 and let their dogs loose, who threaten and scare the children.

"Mothers see the loose dogs and just go home"

A resident of the neighborhood tells Lehi Fe - the news corporation: "Ramat Chen has a park for children, and it is the only park. There are dog owners who come with their dogs on a leash, but there are those who let the dogs out in the park and let them roam freely. At about 17:00 p.m., when parents and children arrive at the park, dog owners also arrive. There is a lot of mothering You see the loose dogs and most of them just go home.'

The owners of the dogs release them and let them roam freely

This is how he continues to tell: "I contacted the municipal inspectorate several times because of dogs that roamed freely. At first the inspectors would come after 24 hours, and little by little they started arriving faster, but the inspector only talks to the dog's owner and does not impose fines. Once I saw an inspector come and talk to the dog's owner, but usually the dog owners just leave until the inspectors come."

"I talked to the supervisor," he says, "and they told me that there is a van that comes twice a week, but I don't see it. The dogs defecate on the grass that the children play on. There are regular dogs whose owners come with them to the park and let them go. I talked to one of the dog owners And he said that his dog is trained, so for him there is no problem in letting her go. I don't know what else to do."

The children are frightened when dogs fight among them

One of the mothers who usually comes to the park with her toddler son, said to Lahi Fe:
"I understand the difficulty of the dog owners, because there really isn't a dog park in our neighborhood. There are those who take their dogs to the compound next to the old people's home, which is acceptable. But in the playground, exactly at the hours when all the children come, it's not appropriate. The most disturbing is when there is more than one dog One, and then the dogs start playing with each other, or worse - fighting with each other, which really scares the children."

"The owner's claim is always that their dog is not aggressive, but I think that such a risk should not be taken, the feeling is that they are waiting for a disaster to happen, when the question is not If It will happen, but when are. Beyond that, the playground is intended for children, and when loose dogs regularly roam here and scare the children, it greatly impairs their enjoyment."

The municipality's response will be attached to the article when received.

  1. Unfortunately, man is the worst and most dangerous production,
If the mayor would take care of a dog park in every neighborhood
    It wouldn't happen!!
As you make sure that your children have fun,,,,
We dog owners also want the same
So you have to contact the mayors who are not functioning! That their order of priority serves only them!!
The best example: the mayor of Dimona!!
All old neighborhoods and rotten and crumbling foundations,
And every few months we get a few pots and ornamental words!!! Wastes a lot of money on unnecessary things
and only cares about the cosmetics of the neighborhoods to silence the people!!
    Shame!!!
The issue should be brought up in the Knesset!!!!!!!!

  2. A few months ago, a large loose dog savagely attacked my children who were in the Shavshab kindergarten in the Nash.
She also bit and taped one of them, causing him to slide down the hill.
The owner of the dog resorted to a "hit and run" action and instead of offering help and giving details about the dog, she chose to leave, backed by all the nice group that were with her and knew her well.
It seemed like they were really hiding. Only in the evening after an intelligence effort did we manage to reach her.
She didn't bother to offer any compensation despite all the suggestions I offered her to end it amicably, and the lawsuit is on her way.
Since then my kids go into hysterics when a dog walks through the area.

  3. People who are racist towards dogs or other animals, would do well if they don't bring more children into the world and educate them to racism as well.

Humans must understand that they are not alone on the planet, there are other animals here and there is room for everyone.
There is and will be no place for racists.

  4. What about the children's urine?? What about the dirt the parents and children leave behind?
Why aren't you being fined for making noise between 14-16 or at night?
    Shame on people

  5. She broke the law and must be dealt with legally. You have to take a picture of the dog and its owner and the matter is over.

  6. In my opinion, the municipality should take care of this

  7. To all those who claim that their dog can be loose and that he doesn't do anything. The decision if a dog approaches someone without control is not yours! This is not your choice. People who don't bring dogs with them are the ones who choose if a dog approaches them. And if you claim otherwise, then don't be surprised if this decision applies to you as well.

  8. I agree with the writers before enforcement is needed on the subject
It's a problem on the beaches too. in parks. On the Lui Promenade all the time.
    You are right..

  9. First of all, contact the municipality to build a dog park in an area like Bordia. If the dog owners want to be free with the dog not in the kennel (like me because I'm afraid of big dogs with my small dog) I let them out in the playground or in the very early hours of the morning when there are no children - six in the morning or after 19:30 in the evening when there are no children, at night. The second thing scarier than this is the pigs that are much scarier in Bordia near my house already tore the leg of a 30 year old man who just died and also attacked children in the playground.

  10. Good morning Haifa!
The veterinary service sponsored by the municipality of Haifa does not treat anything!!! They wait for disaster and even when it happens and dogs and people are attacked they do nothing.
It's like this in every neighborhood in Haifa - loose dogs, attacking - 0 personal security!
In 106 they repeat that only an inspector who sees a loose dog can issue a fine, but they never do.
Even in the veterinary service they don't do the job.
What wonder that this is how the municipality conducts itself, taking an example from the state
The veterinary service sponsored by the Haifa municipality protects criminals and neglects the safety of law-abiding residents.

  11. The time has come for every neighborhood to have a dog park and then they won't come to a playground. The dogs can't walk on the sidewalks all the time tied up, they have to run and expend energy. I live in an estate in Kriem Sefer and in the entire area of an estate there are no dogs either. The closest is Bordia and it is very far and also a strong climb in Samshon I have already turned to my cities. But they don't do anything. It's time to take care of the dogs in Haifa too. Learn from Tel Aviv and the Kiryat what kind of dog parks there are on every corner

  12. This city has become one big doghouse, all the sidewalks smell of excrement. Where are the days when a person would keep one dog? What do people need to walk around with 3 dogs???? I'm pretty fed up.

  13. I live in the neighborhood and when I come with my grandchildren to a playground and see some kind of stupid people there, I go with my grandchildren to another chapter so that they don't get infected with the stupidity of those people❗️❗️❗️

  14. Both in the playground on Habiva Reik Street and Oskar Schindler Street the same problem. The feeling that the municipality has no interest in dealing with the problem

  15. The dogs are much more sane than the mothers of the children with their traumas and then start raving about the dog's owner. Maybe all the mothers with your post-trauma should go to a psychologist. This way you will get rid of some more demons that were hiding in your soul

  16. Shame and disgrace to the city of Haifa. There are 6 dog parks in the whole city. Some are paved with gravel that hurts the dogs' feet. The highest property tax in the country and zero services for the residents. Let's hope that the next mayor will be more successful.
For comparison, in a small colony where my friend lives, there are less than 10 thousand inhabitants, there are 3 fenced gardens, with suitable sand and cleaning services

  17. Not only that, but I have heard mothers claim in front of dog owners, at the playground at the corner of Hess and Montefiore streets, that the dogs throw their water on the slides and other facilities and toys where the toddler is supposed to spend time

  18. Only high fines
There is no reason for dogs to be in children's playgrounds
Let them go to the dog parks they set up around the city
Whoever owns a dog should take responsibility for the matter

  19. Indeed it is a problem. Even in the Ham Garden and the Louie Promenade in the center of Carmel, owners of dogs, mostly huge, without a leash and no one to talk to walk around. I own a dog myself and travel with her on a leash. I don't understand what the problem is with tying up a dog, especially in a playground for children, some of whom are afraid of dogs.
Unfortunately, in today's Haifa, laws are not observed. Yaffe Nof Street continues to be a place of improved car and motorcycle racing and there is no police and municipal supervision. It's not a one-off, you know that! Why is there no daily supervision? Why isn't there a police car here?

  20. Humans are the real danger and if a dog is loose then it is obviously neither dangerous nor safe!
Stop picking fights and looking for problems where there are none.

  21. In my opinion, humans can be much more dangerous than dogs. From the age of 0 I raised my children to love dogs and animals in general and now my granddaughters are raised accordingly. As long as these are not Amstaff or Rottweilers who might attack just for nothing there is no concern. On the contrary: the dog will only protect and help in times of need.
