(Hai Fe) - The difficult and painful war that has been going on for the past two weeks (7-22/10/23), has left many dogs and other animals without owners and without a warm home. Therefore, the Zamir Family Boarding House is hosting four evacuees and those whose owners have received Order 8. As of today, Sunday 22/10/23, 16 dogs are staying at the boarding house.

This special and welcome initiative by Ben Blumenfeld, the owner of the Zamir Family Pension on Dado Beach in Haifa, was created because, following the Iron Swords War, many families had to evacuate their homes, both from the south and the north, along with many who received Order 8. Intentionally, there was nowhere to leave family members and friends who were going on Four, Ben decided to open the doors of the boarding house he owns to host those charming and beautiful friends who are also affected by the upheavals and transitions.

Ben says in an interview with Lahi Fa:
The initiative to host dogs occurred to me as soon as we got into this terrible situation. I am past draft age and I was thinking how I can contribute. I decided to contribute my part in the field in which I am engaged.
First, my clients who received Order 8 contacted me, and then when places became available at my place, I advertised that I am willing to host dogs of those who received Order 8 and have nowhere to leave their dogs or dogs of evacuees from their homes, whether it's in the south or the north, free of charge. I have already done it before in the Second Lebanon War and during the fire in Carmel, unfortunately we are already used to it.

Ben tells the news corporation here:
This is a challenging time for all of us. The dogs go through shocks, noises from moving apartments, running to the car, running to the hospital and don't understand what is going on. My advice is to try to convey as much calm as possible to the dog and whoever can leave the dog with him is better, because it is difficult for the dog to move from his pack. Those who can't then use people like me and try Understand that the dogs don't understand what happened and are under a lot of pressure, so it's important to try to calm them down as much as possible.

About Ben's pension
Ben Blumenfeld manages the special boarding house with his wife Yael. The children Arbel, Alon and Jordan, who also live in the center of the boarding house, help with the work, because the family home is in the same area as the boarding house. Natalie, Yuval, Sasha and Sergey work and help in the success of the business. There are always at least two people who look after the dogs who are accommodated and blend in harmoniously and fun inside the boarding house. Of course, the requirements are that the dogs be vaccinated, neutered and sterilized. Also, the dogs must have good behavior and be able to connect with other dogs.

The dogs roam freely in the open area
Ben has been in the field for 35 years. He also trains dogs but does not practice the profession. He established the current boarding house 14 years ago. This is an open boarding house in the family's house in Dado Beach. There are no cages or private rooms, and the area is open for the dogs to roam freely. This is why only friendly dogs are accepted.
