Dana Petrenko and her partner Daniel Goltman, late of Haifa, were murdered together at the nature party

For 4 days Dana Petrenko's family did not know what happened to her, until yesterday (Wednesday 11.10.23) they arrived in the ranks of the Job. Yesterday evening, Petrenko's family was informed that she was murdered at the nature party in Kibbutz Reim in the south of the country on Saturday. Since Saturday morning she was considered missing until the message came.

Dana, 23 years old, studied in the science class at City School C and served in the army as a paratrooper. She was going to start studying finance this year.

Dana came to the party together with her partner, the late Daniel Goltman, who lived in Rishon Lezion. From what is known from survivors who were at the party and saw the couple, Dana was hit in the knees, when she had to keep running, and her boyfriend protected her with his body. They died together. Dana is survived by her parents and two brothers.

Since Saturday morning (07.10.23), after the relationship between Dana and her family was severed, the family made every possible effort to find out what happened to Dana. They opened WhatsApp groups, Instagram pages, made lists and phone numbers in order to reach people who could give information about Dana. In the end it didn't help.

Dana was a child of a family

Dana's best friend, Alisa Abelsky tells about a young girl who cared a lot about her family and loved life: "She had lots and lots of plans for the future. She was always ready to help with any task, a child of a family - always helped with her younger siblings, almost raised them. She has a sister with a developmental delay and she treated her as an equal among equals and took great care of her. She loved to party, be happy and dance. Loved life. R.I.P".
