A new forum initiated by the mayoral candidate Yaakov Borovsky and with the cooperation of former senior police officers - "Bringing security back to Haifa!"

In view of the significant increase in crime, retired Haifa mayoral candidate Yaakov Borovsky is setting up a new forum - restoring safety to Haifa!

The candidate for mayor of Haifa, retired superintendent Yaakov Borovsky previously served in a series of senior command positions in the police, including: commander of the northern district, head of the planning department, deputy head of the operations department, commander of the valleys region, commander of the Haifa station, commander of the Zebulon station and more. His name even came up as a candidate for the position of Police Commissioner.

Forum "Bringing security back to Haifa!" will include former senior officers in the police and its purpose is to formulate methods of action to increase the personal security of the city's residents and business owners, an uncompromising fight against the cases of murder, violence and crimes in the various areas of the city through increasing police patrols and community policing on the city's streets and in the recreation areas on the weekends, to stop the phenomenon of car racing in the city during late at night, to fight the phenomenon of groups of alms at the various intersections throughout the city, which endangers the public of drivers and may cause traffic accidents, and of course, fighting the nuisance of wild pigs and more.

Retired Superintendent Yaakov Borovsky:

"In view of the significant increase in cases of violence in the city and the significant damage to the sense of security of many of the city's residents in recent months, I decided to immediately establish the forum - restoring security to Haifa and they have already responded positively to my request to serve as members of the forum: former deputy commander of the northern district and retired commander of the Zebulon station Solomon, former commander of the Haifa station, deputy commander of the Coastal District and retired deputy head of the National Defense Operations Division, Yossi Hamo, former commander of the Haifa station and retired investigation officer of the Northern District, Moshe Cohen, former commander of the Tirat Carmel station and retired SNA investigation officer Avi Minkovsky, The former commander of the maritime police and a retired naval officer, Corporal Erez Yehuda, and in the coming days more members will be added to the forum."
