Maj. Gen. Elad Ben Shoshan will replace Sergeant Major Shahar Lieber ○ Exciting ceremony at the Sea Arm base in Haifa
At the Sheitat Square 3 at the Naval Base of the Navy in Haifa, an exciting military ceremony was held this weekend (Wednesday, 16.8.2023) of the change of command of the Major of the Haifa Base of the Marine, the outgoing Major is R.N.G. Shahar Liber ( 47 years old) who is finishing his post and this week will retire after 30 years of service in the sea arm, in the last 7 years of his service he fulfilled his role as a BH Major to the best of his ability. In his place, Major General Elad Ben Shushan (40 years old) assumed the position of the new BH Major.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the Commander of the Navy Major General David Sa'ar Selma, the Commander of the Haifa Theater in the Navy Brigadier General Tal Politis, the Chief of Staff of the Navy Brigadier General Guy (Goldie) Goldfarb and in the presence of the officers of the Haifa base headquarters, countermen and soldiers of the Navy's units , family members and guests.
At the opening of the event, the commander of the Haifa theater in the sea arm, Lt. Col. Tal Politis, spoke, who congratulated R.N.G. Lieber and said:
"In our world, the world of the sea, the anchor always provides stability, whether it's in stormy seas or when the currents are strong, you know there is a stable fulcrum that you can rely on. In the military world, the counters are the anchor of every unit. While the commanders change often, the counters always remain. Counter A good unit is the barometer of the mood in the unit, he lives the unit at all ranks and levels and always knows exactly what is going on in it, Liber, in your role you were exactly that, a person full of care who always sees the soldier before his eyes and makes sure that they are always well."
RNA Shahar Liber also spoke:
"Today I am ending a significant period in my life, which built who I am. I was privileged to serve for about three decades, more than half of my life in the Haifa arena - as a fighter, as a sergeant and above all as a proud servant of the naval arm. My naval journey began as a fighter in 1994 in Sa'ar 2 - Ahi Mavat until it was transferred to the Naval Museum in Haifa and from there I arrived at Ahi Tarshish where I served as a ship's major for a period of 7 years where I gained experiences and met amazing people who expand my heart to this day. .
R.N.G. Lieber also said excitedly: "After 9 years of service at sea, I was given a short break for studies, when immediately after they ended I went back to the sea and the waves, this time as Chief Petty Officer Achai Lahav. Over the course of 3 years, I had the privilege of participating in promotions, trainings, opening promotional envelopes. At the birth of my eldest son and while giving birth, I also participated in the Second Lebanon War."
"After my service at sea, I was assigned to be a fleet major for 9 years in the 31st and 33rd fleets. After 23 years in which I had the 3rd fleet at home - I moved - but not too far from the position of the Haifa theater major. As part of the position, I had the privilege of serving alongside commanders, fighters , dedicated and high-quality combat supporters. In my position, I learned about myself and new ways to develop. Throughout the service and the various positions, I was always guided by two values - the first is the mission in the service and the privilege that fell to me to take part in the IDF and the Navy. The second - daily action - to make sure that every day we invest, make an effort and bring results, I adhere to these principles."
"On this honorable occasion, I would like to thank my commanders for all the backing and support and listening ear at all times. To the other units in the Sea Arm and the Haifa base, thank you for the partnership, help and support and friendship at any time in every mission. To the Navy Headquarters and the 21st Shipyard, thank you for responding to every request. Thank you to the headquarters ships and those at their head for the understanding, assistance and support over the years, I have no doubt that if you continue with the sense of service and responsibility that you project today, we will succeed in the future as well as the present in meeting the operational challenges."
"To my past and present soldiers, thank you for the investment and giving for the daily activities throughout your service period, I have no doubt that the tools you acquired along the way led and will lead you to become better citizens. Mom, Rina, Noam, Uri and Gaya, my beloved family, thank you for understanding, supporting, me To carry out the variety of roles over the years in the way and in the way that I did, I have no doubt that without your peace and support, I would not have been able to meet the goals I set for myself. Dear Ben Shushan, I wish you much success in your role. In conclusion, like the words of the legendary song of the Navy Band: Come to us, to us, to the sea, to the exciting wild sea, to this sun, to the strong winds, because the sea is open to all of us! Go out and sail, drive and always return home safely...and only the sea will be calm!".
At the end of the ceremony, the Commander of the Sea Arm, Major General David Sa'ar Selma, the officers of the Sea Arm's headquarters, the family members and the guests came to be honored with a ceremonial toast aboard "Ahi Magen", the Sa'ar 6 missile ship.
From the responses, I understand that the wild boars are a scourge on social media as well
Beauty !!! Good luck in the rest of your journey.. May God be with you wherever you turn... from my experience... you will never forget your service in Hai... and especially you will never forget Achi Mimfot, who is beloved in my heart forever... good luck!!!
As someone who had the opportunity to work with Elad Ben Shoshan throughout my service. This is an executive at the highest level. And yet an uncompromising human attitude.
All the best to Moshe A.
As long as the pension for retirees comes from money they saved themselves - there is no problem. Let them retire at any age they want.
So it is not, that it is the security budget that devours other budgets that belong to the general public
of your shoes off your feet and put an ash bag on your body when you open your mouth about military men who put you in the small pocket
IDF officers who "retire" at the age of 47 when their counterparts in all the world's armies serve until the age of 60.
Shame and disgrace, a horrendous waste of public money on huge pensions for retirement at a ridiculous age of combat supporters and headquarters and shore units.
...the hand is light on the keyboard....let's see a frustrated citizen who slanders a RN who is being released for retirement replace, even for one year, the RN' who is being released for retirement after 30 years.!!! A year in which he will not live a life that he probably lived today, but a life of the Hranj who served in the missile ships without coming home days and nights, Saturdays and holidays, sleeping in a bed 60x1.60 and 50 tall.!!! And you, the citizen, must sleep in a slightly bigger bed! )...and in your home and near your children and your wife, with an available phone and food as you request.
And I guess that every day you, the citizen, come home after 8 hours of work or maybe you stayed two extra hours and got 150% for them or you worked on Shabbat and got 200%... So that's why Harang didn't get overtime and certainly not 150% or 200%..
And also think about his wife who held and took care of all the household chores and raising the children, food, showers, medical events, classes, etc., surely what you were present and probably helped and shared with the mother of your children.
And not to mention other life risks.!
True, today after 30 years of living in such a bubble, he more than deserves a reward for such a life he has lived, whatever you are.! ! You probably wouldn't have survived after a year...!!!
Kudos to RNJ and thank you for your dedicated service for the benefit of my life and the lives of the citizens of the State of Israel, including the slanderers! I salute you...and your wife!
Dear Moshe. A. How do you know I didn't serve on missile ships? And you're really thinking of telling me nonsense that the RNA served all those years (we both know it's not like that and there are shore positions that do well "nine to five" in air-conditioned offices) and did "weekends" - come on. He was a sergeant for 7 years H. Who are you coming to work for - it's not combat. It's not weekends. And night shifts aren't either. Whoever does all these is the regular servant. I wouldn't last a year? We'll see you holding a job in the private market for a year that requires a real and hard investment - usually the problem of integrating into it is the gluttons of the fat IDF pensions who enjoyed making their own schedule.
Stop it, we don't buy these practicality stories..
Peace be upon you, my friend, Major General David Selma, Commander of the Navy. Have a good and blessed week everyone
