At the end of the week I received an interesting call: "Hello, my name is Rabbi Rachel Gitai... I read what you write and I was enthusiastic about your abilities"... You will agree with me that while it is nice to receive such a call, the question immediately arises: "Rabbi?" Me and the religious world have no connection, but because I was taught to listen, I listened. And it was lucky for me.
About Rachel Gitai
Rachel Gitai is a woman in her sixties, now a Haifaite who was born in Tivon. It has an amazing history: a history of life in South Africa in the largest organic village in the world (yes there is such a thing). Rachel is a doctor of behavioral sciences, she was married to a Chabad rabbi, the late Rabbi Yigal Pizm, who recently passed away.
I sat mesmerized in front of her, confused and adoring
When I met with her, I discovered an impressive woman, wearing a wig and a big smile. I sat mesmerized in front of her until the confusion and admiration came. I sat for two hours and listened to all her actions and volunteering. She told me that she is an international artist for over 30 years, dealing with special, organic and bio-organic materials.
The largest organic village in the world in South Africa
When you asked her how she came to this art, she answered:
I worked in South Africa in the largest organic village in the world. Brynston Organic Villagr - a fine market in Johannesburg, established 43 years ago, is a magical place away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, offering healthy food inspired handicrafts. It is located 20 minutes from Sandton and entry is free. It offers quality artisanal products produced locally.
about her works
Her first works were pieces of fabric glued in an interesting and wonderful way as well as clothes which she dyed in special and wonderful colors. Little by little she began to work with organic and ecological materials in the environment where she lived, with meaning from nature and culture.

Unusual art
I admit that at first it was difficult for me to understand the designs, pictures and special earrings that Rachel designs, but when I continued to listen I learned new things.
Today Rachel Gitai is known worldwide for her special works and they are also exhibited in private and closed art collections, among the largest in the world: the collection of the British Queen as well as some of the richest people in the Jewish world.
Her return to Israel
After her return to Israel, Rachel began lecturing on artistic photography, taught illustration of children's literature at Boitz College and wrote articles about life patterns and lifestyle in Johannesburg in a broad cultural context, around various customs there. Finally, she founded a company that provides private art consulting in Johannesburg in a natural direction. She has also participated in design and art exhibitions throughout South Africa.
Did you think this was the end?
Today, she is a specialist in homeopathic medicine approved by the World Health Organization, an approach in alternative medicine, according to which a sick person can be treated with a substance. And of course you can write a whole article about that.

On a daily basis, she helps people (sometimes voluntarily) using the oils she produces, diagnoses children with learning disabilities, talks with Chabad people from all over the world, matches widows and widowers, listens and advises businesses, and more. She even tried to make a friend for me ("No good man Alone my friend...").
In short, a woman of clusters, talents and a big heart.

Intrsting and chlanging
