(haipo) - An indictment was filed against a 58-year-old sanitation worker for rape and an indecent act he committed on a woman at the hospital in Haifa.

The Haifa District Attorney's Office submitted to the city's district court an indictment against a 58-year-old sanitary worker, a resident of Tamra, for indecent assault and an indecent act he committed on a woman while she was in a hospital in Haifa.

The accused offered the complainant to smoke an "innocent" cigarette with him outside

The indictment submitted indicates that the defendant, who worked as a sanitarian at the hospital, met the complainant when she was dining with a friend who underwent surgery at the hospital, whom he did not know. The accused started a conversation with the complainant and in the process asked her if she smoked, and she answered him: "Sometimes". Therefore, he suggested that she go outside to smoke, in a place where the employees usually smoke.

The defendant led her through several passages and doors until they reached a shed in the parking lot. He put his hand on her back, pulled her, pressed her tightly against him, put his hands on her cheek and performed indecent acts on her while biting her face and causing her to be bruised.

He only stopped when a doctor arrived on the scene

At this point, the accused grabbed the complainant's hand and pulled her forcefully into the entrance of a nearby stairwell. Turned her around, yelled at her and ordered her to get down and sit on her knees. The complainant asked him to let her go, but he forcefully bent her back down. The accused stopped and let go of the complainant when he suddenly saw a doctor coming down the hospital stairs.
