(haipo) - Marwan Zaid, 33 years old, who lives on Ben Yehuda Street in Hadar in difficult conditions and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, decided that he had nothing more to lose and he must reveal his difficult situation in order to get help. In a revealing post published on Facebook, he described his distress, which increased especially after he lost both of his parents.
"My life stopped with the tragic death of my parents"
"I am 33 years old from Haifa, suffer from complex post-traumatic stress disorder, and am trying to get on the road and recover. I have lived a difficult life and a difficult fate befell me. I served in the army as a fighter in the 13th battalion in Golani. I was in the security of the crossings and worked in the field of security.

"I am a very independent person. Already when I was 13 years old, my father sent him to a military boarding school, trawling seaports, and from there to the army and transits. Until the age of 25, I was hardly at home. After a long period, I returned to live with my parents. After a period of several months, my mother received a dom Lev is at home, and I performed CPR on her, but without success. MDA had to pronounce her dead. I went into a crisis following the loss."
"After a year and a bit, my father also passed away from an accident that happened at home. Since then my life stopped and I was unable to function. After a long period I was able to get back on my feet a little, and I tried to integrate into workplaces. I lived in a rental for two and a half years, I worked at my last job with a car wash contractor, and from there I was fired."
"I tried to arrange as much as possible the house I'm renting now, but it's impossible. Now I've been without a job for three months, living without electricity or hot water to shower. The house is completely open. I have no kitchen or refrigerator, no furniture. I I'm in a very difficult financial situation and can't find a job. I survive on a disability allowance, which is not enough. I have debts to property tax and electricity. I live barely to survive. I have a dog and a parrot that accompany me in the recovery process."
I never shared about my situation, I decided not to give up
Zaid explains that he decided to reveal his situation because he is going through very difficult days. He told himself that sometimes you have to put the shame aside and ask for help. "I decided to seek help after a long period in which I closed myself off, after I lost my father," he says.
"Not long ago I decided to go to therapy and I was able to integrate into the workplace. But it is a very difficult situation, any stimulus or noise can distract me. I was always optimistic that I would be able to integrate into the workplace, but it is very difficult for people with post-traumatic stress. I have a sister who lives next to me I am less in touch with the rest of the family.
I never shared with people about my situation, I just got to a point where I wanted to either give up or turn to people and ask for help, and I'd rather not give up."
'I believe people will help me'
"When I went to the army, I knew where I was staying and I knew that I was going to fight. I have no regrets, even if life was hard for me. I am happy that I went through many things and survived them. The people in Israel are not bad people, I believe that they will lend me a hand for help. I realized that if I do not ask Help I will continue to suffer.
My regiment found out that my condition was not good from the post I published on Facebook, and he volunteered to help. Soldiers from the battalion are supposed to come and help me with the renovation on Friday morning."
Zaid served in the army in Golani, and when friends from Golani read his post on Facebook, they immediately contacted him and promised to come and help him. On Friday, as mentioned, they will come to his house to help him renovate and improve his living conditions.
"For many years I have lived closed, unable to go out into the company of the outside world. I want to return to independence. I hope that people will donate to me, everyone what they can give. I need help with the renovation, and society itself is also important to me."
The Golani Brotherhood began collecting funds for Marvan. Anyone who wants to join and donate is welcome to contact Matan or Naor by phone.

It's very sad, I also receive a disability pension and it's hard to live on it, it hurts that the state doesn't help, but knows how to take endlessly, I hope he gets out of his situation, unfortunately I won't be able to help
Good luck to him! This is not a normal situation, that a disabled IDF person will not receive financial and health help from a country, in which he served and received a disability! We need to talk about this and it is good that he asked for help from the public! Even animals help each other. And what about people?
Haifaites, Israelis, this is your brother! Wake up and help him with what you can! 😢🙏💫
