Since the beginning of the year, over 4700 calls for help from victims of sexual assault, just in the northern region. The number, which increases from year to year, reflects the great distress of victims during this period. Today, when Israeli society is on fire, the stable and calm place where you can receive anonymous assistance 24/7 all year round is important like no other.

We need your help raising donations and raising awareness

The Aid Center for Victims of Sexual Assault calls on the community to strengthen the civil, independent services and embarks on a campaign to raise donations and raise awareness.

A friend asked me, how do I even deal with the campaign in such stormy days, but I, who am connected to the help lines, am more motivated than ever. Precisely in times of uncertainty, anxiety rises. The future of women in Israel is under threat, and weakened women who bear the consequences of the sexual violence they experienced are in greater danger. The damage caused by sexual assault is enormous and many times the environment does not see - the sleepless nights, the anxieties, the medical problems, the loneliness. That's why we called our campaign "We see you". Because we are here 24/7 just a phone or WhatsApp call away, and we can understand and help. We have increased the number of female volunteers, increased the number of support groups and our assistance services and I am fighting to budget for all of this. The trauma lives inside and does not let go

Thousands of women and men have conversations with trauma every day. Sometimes the trauma does not wait for a trigger, but simply lives inside. She is part of us. In the morning, getting ready for work, together with the coffee and in particularly happy moments. The trauma comes in and asks for a little more space. A place for pain, a place for destruction, a place for guilt. She asks, and takes the place of joy, of love, of security.

From the outside, you can't always see it. From the outside you can't always feel it. But it's there. All the time. And you can feel so alone in it.
