In preparation for the mayoral elections, which will be held on October 31, 2023, and in preparation for the informational conference that the Haifa Municipality will hold on Monday, 10/7/23 (a conference that upsets Yaron Hanan, leader of the Shabbat headquarters of the Pigs for Nature), I had a long conversation with Yaron, in the field studio of live here
In the conversation we reviewed the entire sad situation we have found ourselves in in recent years and delved into the various aspects of handling the pig hazard.
In the interview you will also hear the disclosure of some details that you did not know: The fines, the traps, the method of killing the pigs during the Klish period and also important tips from Yaron Hanan for the next mayor who will be elected in October.

Yaron, if you have solutions and you give advice, why don't you run for mayor and why did you leave the city council?
Thanks for the support, but no... there is a candidate that I think is suitable for the city's challenges and you can guess who I mean...
In Haifa there are more important hazards than pigs and no one bothers to talk about it at all! Dog shit! Sound familiar? How is it possible that we pay such an expensive property tax and there is no end to it? We walk with our eyes down so as not to step on yet another mine among many others and this one belongs to dogs and not pigs! Where is the municipality? Start giving fines and you will also do good to the residents! Take an example from Tel Aviv and God forbid we talk about Europe, mercifully... Take it in your hands! Where is the municipality here?
You will be surprised, Ashrat, but if you listened to the entire interview with him, you would be surprised to find an answer to the painful issue you raise. By the way, Klish stopped enforcing the issue of dog excrement.
The problem is not the pigs but the Arabs and the lack of governance and enforcement that leads to the creation of a situation where there is no personal security.
Instead of telling the truth about difficult issues, it's easier to talk about blah....blah……blah issues
Yaron Hanan... it's a shame you mislead the innocent reader. "Transferring" pigs was already attempted at the beginning of Einat's collaboration with RTG. Pigs were moved to a remote location with GPS collars and, as expected, they returned to their original location.
And it is very embarrassing that you and other people who claim to understand the treatment of pigs do not understand the difference between spotted pigs, as you say, that have spots on them, and sealed pigs that received a seal because they were exposed and got used to the proximity of people and lost fear.
You probably didn't listen to the whole interview with me. There are answers to these things…
The pigs are actually the most beautiful thing in Haifa. Nature-people coexistence. Brings some sanity back to the fabric of life and reminds us why we came into the universe in the first place. Without it it would be really hard for me to be here everyday. The problem may be people who behave like pigs. But I don't expect a mayor to deal with education. Just let us live!
How many years can we talk about the same problem? It's not normal! 😱
Steps to solve the problem:
1. There is a problem with wild pigs in Haifa.
2. Find a place where you can move some of the pigs.
3. How much money is needed for the transfer of wild boars?
4. Find the money.
5. How many crew members and cars do you need for a transfer?
6. Find crew members and cars.
7. Move the pigs to a new place for them.
8. Moving on to the next problems of Haifa and its residents.
Repeat the steps every weekday during years. 🔄
There is no such deluxe solution for many reasons. But I am trying to at least conclude with RTG a controlled transfer of stained pigs together with a permanent "herd" of them, this is conditional on the consent of RTG and other conditions that will lead to the success of such a move, without copying the disorder that currently exists in Haifa to other places. In any case, those who are looking for simple solutions are likely to be disappointed and unfortunately most of the candidates for mayor do not understand this or make hopeless populist promises.
Pigs are smart animals, they no longer roam in the wild, but mostly around urban areas, i.e. around the restaurant, like street cats.
Go out into the wild, it will be rare to find a wild boar, of course in relation to their frequency and presence around the settlements.
It was a retarded idea to try to restore the population of pigs and jackals in the wild, nature is much more complex than man can manage. Any other thinking is megalomania at its finest.
What's the problem with deposing her? There are labor lawyers who specialize in removing a public servant from her position, draw up a lawsuit for all the deficiencies in her conduct as mayor, and submit it to the labor court, where are all the brains, there are so many deficiencies, get all the residents of the city together, get a top lawyer, and let's go to work... and stop complaining... … witness something.
