Three outstanding students from the Haifa district won a letter named after Ilan, Rona and Assaf Ramon
"Ot Ramon", was awarded to 15 outstanding students from all over the country, including three from the Haifa district: Shaked Bacher from Kiryat Yam, Lior Khondiashvili from Kiryat Ata and Matan Gerstman from Kiryat Bialik.
Selected through strict screening
The 'Ot Ramon' leadership program is a joint venture of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and the Ramon Foundation. The students are selected for the project from all over the country after a strict screening process based on their academic achievements, their social and volunteer activities at school and in the community and their quality personality. Each winner receives a scholarship for his volunteerism and initiative for his community.

During the year, the students participate in a unique program of meetings and workshops that strengthen their leadership ability, deepen their acquaintance with Israeli society in its many shades, and equip them with a managerial toolbox that will help them lead Israeli society in the spirit and image of Ilan, Rona and Asaf Ramon. The winners of the 'Ot Ramon' are from all parts of society in Israel.
Shaked Bacher from Rabin Comprehensive High School in Kiryat Yam
Shaked Bacher from Kiryat Yam is an excellent student, studying science majors. In elementary school and middle school she was active in the student council, participated in the project "I can too" in which she initiated and developed a product that helps people with special needs cope with everyday life easily, in the second year of the project she acted as a mentor for the group. Today Shaked is active in the youth movement "Wings of Karambo", which includes children with and without special needs. First as a tutor and now as an instructor at the branch.

During the last two years, Shaked has volunteered to help children and teenagers who have left school due to a medical condition, to fill in the educational gaps that have arisen. Shaked's ambition is to combine her love for sports with her desire to integrate children with special needs into society and thus establish a place that can give space to each and every person without different treatment. Next year, Shaked will leave for a year of service in the "Wings of Karambo".

Matan Gerstman, Ort Kiryat Bialik
Matan from Kiryat Bialik is an outstanding student in the academic, social and sports fields. He studies in the Nachshon class for social-scholastic excellence. Plays a role as a tribe center, as part of the role he is responsible for the current activity and the educational process of the tribe's apprentices and the senior class in particular. During the division he participated in the FLL program at school where he developed robots to perform various tasks. Matan spent most of his years in the division developing and promoting the project to large scale dimensions and after the division he became a mentor to the existing robotics groups at the school who teaches them important values for life alongside construction and programming.

Matan held various positions in the school, municipal and district youth council where he promoted action and initiative of the school students as well as initiated the construction of a huge park dedicated to ninja training in his hometown. The park is visited every day by dozens of children, teenagers and adults. About four years since he started training, he fulfilled his dream and competed in the Ninja Israel 2023 program.

Lior Khondiashvili, the High School for Sciences and Arts in Kiryat Ata
Lior is a prominent and outstanding student in his school. He is studying physics and electronics with first class honors and is very interested in the field of computer science. He participated in the "Bar Ilan" excellence program and successfully completed it with a score of 98 in the 5th grade matriculation, and also participated in the "Etgar" program for excellent high school students, in which he studied and participated in courses at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Haifa.

In addition, Lior is a prominent and substantial activist in the core group of the Bnei Akiva movement in his city. As part of his role, he promotes social and educational initiatives for the branch's trainees in a way that benefits community life while giving added value to the trainees and promotes the values of social solidarity, responsibility, giving, tolerance and leadership. Lior intends to continue his path to acquiring knowledge and education at the same time as social involvement and hopes to promote these ambitions during his upcoming military service. Lior has many ambitions in the field of high-tech and entrepreneurship in such a way that they contribute to society out of a desire to make the world we live in a better world.
