Celebrating Kiryat Haim's 90th birthday
Yossi Alfie the wonderful
The evening began with a large meeting attended by people from all over the country, mostly old residents, all excited and happy to meet friends they had not seen for a long time.
The photo exhibition was presented in the theater lobby - Kiryat Haim, past-present – בה הוצגו צילומים ישנים של הקריה, לצדם צילומים עכשוויים מאותם המקומות.

The stories of the panelists, veterans of the Kariya, were combined with musical pieces presented by the group "Lilach" under the guidance, direction and accompaniment of Avi Ben-Oz, and with the singing of Kariya resident Ila Levy-Kloski, who was accompanied by the music of Idan Jungman. And various anecdotes from its history, which Submitted by Yossi Alfi.
First, she was greeted by Ms. Tsila Baruch, the chairman of the committee that organized the evening, under the direction of Yossi Lapid, a member of the board and with the cooperation of Uri Yesoud, a veteran of the Kriya, and a production team that worked hand in hand with Alfi's command.

It should be noted that Kiryat Chachaim produced a significant number of champions and sub-champions in the IDF, media and economic figures, many artists, sports champions and educators.
This wonderful evening proved what we always knew, the Kiryat spirit is full of family, loyalty, volunteering, pioneering, friendship, mutual help and values, and these come from it honestly and wholeheartedly.
More than anything, it was clear from all the experiences of this evening - a person can get out of the kriya, but the kriya will always remain inside him. Or in simple words - Kiryat always remains Kiryat.

Yossi Lapid says:
"On the occasion of the 90th anniversary celebrations of Kiryat Haim, the management of the Kiryat Board produced a unique event, which presented various aspects of the rich and diverse history of the Kiryat. For this purpose, I was appointed to manage and lead the production of the event, so that it befits the distinguished and exciting status.
It was decided to produce an event in the style of a storytelling festival, with the one and only, the father of the community theater and the storyteller Yossi Alfie.
A steering committee was appointed with the participation of Tsila Baruch, Pesach Tabak, Baruch Shamailov and Shani Roth-Kapon. We recruited Uri Yesoud, a veteran of the Kriya, as a consultant and leader of the content side.
Our work teams worked with Alfi's production staff, and together, from a long and distinguished list of veterans, the candidates who will take part in the event were selected.
Throughout the process, which lasted 4 whole months of intensive work, we were accompanied by an investigator on behalf of Alfie.

The diverse panel was made up of veterans of various ages, the youngest of the panelists is 72 years old, and the oldest has already celebrated 92 avivs.
Different and diverse topics and fields were brought up during the evening, pioneers, the working settlement, economy, sports, culture, absorption of Alia, youth movements and more.

As we predicted in advance, we were not able to encompass all the topics we aspired to deal with, after all, how can you compress 90 long years, saturated with countless events, upheavals, developments, ups and downs, friendships and fights, joy, sadness and much more... into two short hours?
When the wonderful evening ended, we were all left with a taste for more and with a sense of emptiness and incompleteness. We have no intention of waiting another year to experience again the excitement and joy we experienced at this event, and the decision has been made - we are doing a follow-up project - and very soon!
We will continue documenting the history of the Kriya, so many topics that were left "on the floor of the editing room" and which we did not get to touch will also be brought up.
This is also the time to note the warm and enthusiastic responses that were heard after the evening, most of them full of sympathy and encouragement, with the slight disappointment expressed alongside them, regarding the fact that certain areas and issues of historical value and importance to our Kiryat Haim, which we are now celebrating 90 years of existence, were not brought up.
So for the rest of my life, and for many more years to live in Kiryat Haim, the place that has no other like it in the whole world.
My name is Avi Mor [former Moshkowitz], son of Matilda/Mania and Moshe Moshkowitz, from the founders of Kiryat Haim, I was born in Kirya and at the beginning of my life as a child we lived in a house that my father built with his own hands at that time at 9 XNUMX St. [today as I think Eli Cohen].
It's a shame I couldn't contribute my experience in Kriya to this evening. But hopefully there will be more events. Probably the work of locating the veterans of the reading was not serious.
Interested in receiving updates about Kiryat Haim only [not Haifa] By the way, my late father paved roads together with the mythical father Khushi.
big disappointment !!!!
I also knew that Beck. Haim was not there and they arrived at Rehavi, Barak,
near Orot Cinema.
I look forward to sequels.

Kiryat Haim stands in the shadow of the development of the other Kiryats with new residential neighborhoods that bring thousands of young families.
Kiryat Haim was left behind with schools that were closed and neighborhoods that were planned and not built like the stadium complex.
Another mayor would have recognized the potential of construction areas in Kiryat Haim to upgrade its status and modernize it.
But for that you need a functioning municipality first
A mayor who knows how to nurture Kiryat Haim's assets...
and stop the games of thrones of the Kariya Committee.
How did you miss Prof. Bar Gal?
We did not receive any information about the event. It's a shame.
It's a shame that no pre-publication event is possible. I didn't know about it and I didn't stop my friends, they are also natives of Kiryat Haim
From the article it appears that an honorable and interesting event was held.
How did the production people fail the invited task?
How does it happen that the production did not find it appropriate to use groups on social networks in making contact and gathering information?
Go forth and succeed
An experiential event, very exciting and full of pride to be born and live in Kiryat Haim, a huge thank you to all involved in the craft.
It is indeed a shame that families of veterans and activists of the Kirya were not invited. Even in the ceremony they did not mention a single word.
Shame that the kriya veterans who built the kriya and their families were not invited. The same in previous years as well. Shame on you!
Congratulations K. Chaim.
