Cooperation between the Haifa Sailing Association and Beit HaLochem
The Achied group was established within the IDF organization for the disabled at Beit HaLochem Haifa, about 3 years ago by Yossi Rubin, an active volunteer in the organization. Achaied is a group of post-traumatic IDF disabled people who meet once a week, usually in nature and spend time together in conversations and experiential activities that are especially suitable for them.
◄ Yossi Rubin, an activist in the IDF Disabled People's Organization, tells Lahi Fa about the activity:
Shiri Pines is a social worker at the IDF Disabled People's Organization, a full partner and leader of the group. "It's not just thanks to me," Yossi Rubin tells us: "It's pretty much thanks to her as well. We work in cooperation and harmony and Shiri does wonderful things with the group."
◄ Shiri Pines tells Lahi Pa about the members of the group "Achaied"
This is how the first meeting between the "Achied" group and Sheit Haifa was founded
Collaborations of this kind are not self-evident. You always need that one who knows best how to connect people, the one who is a social entrepreneur in the community. Uri Flex, a resident of Bat-Galim, leader of the "Shirat Hayam" group, knows the Achied group through his brother Eyal, who himself is part of the group. Uri has been rocking Yossi and Shiri for a few months now. Uri didn't let go until the first meeting took place this week.
Lior Alfasi, chairman of the Haifa sailing association, leads the cooperation with the sailing association
Already at the first meeting, the friends tasted the calmness of the sea and the soft wind that blew, whether sailing in a sailboat, surfboarding, or just dipping in the water. The success is best described by Shiri Pines, the leader of the group, and Lior Alfasi, chairman of the Haifa Sailing Association.
Kudos to you Aki Flexer for the article.
good week
