The events of the 75th Independence Day of the State of Israel will be celebrated in Haifa in the evening of independence celebrations, which will take place on Tuesday, 25/4/23, throughout the city of Haifa and other surrounding cities.

Celebrating 75 years of independence in Haifa

Roadblocks during Independence Day:

On the eve of Independence Day, starting at 15:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the next day, the entrance to the downtown Haifa will be closed to private vehicles. Below is the list of branches that will be closed:

Blockade north of the lower city:
Route 22: from the Paz bridge towards the lower city
Independence Street: from the police headquarters towards the lower city
Chiat Street: from the Chiat-Nathanzon intersection to Independence Street.

Blockade south of the lower city:
Hagana Blvd.: from the Dolphin intersection towards Jaffa St. and Ha'Attma'u Blvd
Rothschild Blvd.: from Linn Junction towards Magginim Blvd

Blocking roads in Kiryat Haim:
In Kiryat Chaim, the following roads will be closed to traffic on the eve of Independence Day, from 15:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning:

• Ahi Eilat Blvd.: in the section between Histadrut Blvd and Moshe Sharet St. (before the intersection)
• Shbati Israel Street: in the section between Achai Eilat St. and the Fig tree Street
• Sheira Street: in the section between Achi Eilat St. and Moshe Sharet St.
• The entrance to Shaira Street from the direction of Yitzhak Ben Zvi Street will be allowed only for the residents of the street.
• Chuma and Migdal and Shmuel Yavneali streets will be closed to traffic.
• The entrance to Elisheva Kaplan Street from the direction of Shlomo Lavi Street will be allowed only for residents of the street.
• The entrance to Beilinson and Elisheva Kaplan streets because D. Achi Eilat will be closed to traffic.

Please note that due to the closure of the streets, it will not be possible to remove vehicles parked on the closed streets after 18:00 in the evening.
