Wheelchair basketball - Beit HaLochem Haifa moved up a stage in EuroLeague 2
Photo: Dotan Doron The wheelchair basketball team of Beit HaLochem Haifa moved up a stage in Euroleague 2 and qualified for the finals, after finishing in second place in the qualifiers in the tournament held in Vienna, Austria.
Haifa beat the local team 60:58 in the opening game, then lost to teams from Bosnia and Spain. In the final and deciding game, Haifa defeated the Turks 59:54. Dotan Misher and Iti Elimelech scored a lot.
The coach of the team is Liran Handel, and the assistant coach is Yaakov Meman.
The Euroleague final will be held in Turkey in April.
Next week Beit HaLochem Haifa will meet the Ilan Ramat Gan team in the final match of the State Cup which will be held at Maccabi House in Rishon Lezion.
