Update for 16:55 - the surfer was located before dark
Good news: the missing surfer was located by Lior Alfasi, the chairman of Haifa Sailing, who went out on a boat of the sailing association and located the surfer when he was drifting in the middle of the sea towards Acre, after being in the water for about 7 hours, unable to return to the shore.
Large forces of maritime police, with the help of a helicopter and police officers on the beach, searched Haifa Bay, to save the life of the surfer who was swept into the sea.
I spoke with the surfer (whose name is saved in the system) and he asked, through us, to thank everyone who searched for him.
The search for the missing windsurfer in Haifa Bay
The initial news
Fear for the life of a windsurfer who left the Bat Galim boardwalk in Haifa this morning, Friday, 3/3/23, at 8:00. His friends report to Hai Fe that he was last seen at 10:00 a.m. surfing in front of Bat Galim Promenade. In the evening his friends recognized that his car and his phone were left in the parking lot of Bat Galim promenade.
The surfer, about 40 years old from Kfar Saba. His name and picture have not been released at this time.
A strong south-southwest wind blew this morning in the Haifa Bay, therefore the direction of the drift is north of the Haifa Bay and Acre.
The Israel Police informed Lahi Pa:
The Israeli police are now looking for the surfer with the help of a helicopter, a vessel of the maritime police and police officers who went out to search the beach.
Champion Lior has a soul..
Why a secret name?! Who decides? - When you do nonsense and you need the public's help and resources to get help - the minimum is to stand up in front of the nation - to explain and confess and not to hide like the last of the criminals asking for forgiveness... because you are not!
All the best for your stubbornness. Righteousness. There is nothing wrong with you..
A hidden stone over my heart. Too many missing for it not to end like this.
