It is not easy to be a new immigrant in Israel, especially when you are an artist who fled from Putin's Russia (the menacing Putin, who is now busy slaughtering the Ukrainian people and recruiting every man from the age of 20 to take part in the cannon fodder on the Ukrainian front). The young artists who have just arrived here play and sing great, but they are unknown in Israel.
The veteran immigrants, under the leadership of Tatiana John, produced a jazz event at the Panorama Club in Chek Post, to which new immigrants were invited to celebrate Valentine's Day. Immigrants embrace immigrants.
◄ Tatiana John from the Israel Beitenu party, the producer of the event, says:
On stage appeared a group of musicians and singers who had just arrived from Russia and had met here. They performed covers at a very high level. Everyone danced and sang and there was a great atmosphere of welcoming the newcomers.
"When I wanted to immigrate to Israel, I talked to a friend who had been here for 10 years and asked him what you were doing. He told me that he worked in a factory and said that I would also come and work in a factory, but here I am standing here on the stage and singing to you and it's great fun."
Tatiana John:
"While the government officials are busy solving their problems with the law, the Ministry of Absorption refuses to help the large immigrants from Russia and Ukraine. New immigrants are forced to take care of their livelihood already in their first days here, instead of going to a studio and learning Hebrew.
A lot of talented artists have arrived in Haifa and it will be very difficult for them to find a place "on stage" because the cultural sector is not properly developed in our city. It would be a great shame if they end up in a situation where they have to leave or bury their talent."

During the evening, several sessions were also held and prizes were distributed. A particularly entertaining session was the longest kiss contest. The winners won a bottle of champagne.
My grandfather came up as a holocaust survivor, dear friends, he worked as a construction worker, carpenter and welder in factories where he could find work and he didn't have time to develop any talent or hobby because he was busy taking care of a roof over his head and food. He received nothing from the state and a kick in the butt to go fight so that the Jews would have a state of refuge and not another holocaust.
So stop your complaints, you came on airplanes not on worn out ships from deportation to a detention camp in Cyprus. You didn't come into armored vehicles on the way to the battles. You didn't come to the crossings in tents in the cold winter. You did not come to the stamps to receive food rations because there is austerity in Israel. You didn't come to housing in the lower city with 3 other families when each family gets a room and improvises a kitchen. You straight up demand an apartment, a car, and a career as a singer. Who are you to demand anything here at all? What have you given to the country, let's ask.
It is difficult for the State of Israel to sustain and care for older immigrants who have already arrived here and the young people of the country and discharged soldiers.
Constantly demanding that she take out reception baskets for new immigrants who came to dance and sing here is insolent. Yes, whoever comes here, should work from the first day if he can and in any job and learn Hebrew excellently and quickly through his work.
There are many immigrants who used the absorption baskets only as a stopover on the way to another country and there is a lot of anger in Israel for the extreme help to the immigrants that our families who immigrated did not receive even 5 of all the benefits and budgets given for this immigration.
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Good night
