The raid was carried out following an undercover investigation by the central unit in the North District, which was conducted for about a year and within the framework of which an evidentiary infrastructure was compiled against the members of the largest crime organization in the country. According to the investigation, the organization was involved in cases of extortion and extortion of citizens and business owners in the north.

Tax evasion and many incidents of violence
The heads of the organization are suspected of financial crimes, including tax evasion in the amount of hundreds of millions of shekels, as well as involvement in many violent incidents, including murder.

Luxury cars, cash, checks, bank accounts and real estate
So far, 28 vehicles have been seized, including luxury vehicles (Lamborghini and Mercedes Maybach) with a total value estimated at millions of shekels. In addition, one and a half million NIS in cash and checks with a total value of tens of millions of shekels were seized. In addition, over 80 bank accounts and over 50 pieces of real estate were seized.

The name of the "Abu Latif" organization has been associated with extensive criminal activity in the entire northern region of the country, the organization has operated in the collection of sponsorship fees, involvement in public tenders, takeover of businesses, extortion, numerous violent incidents and shootings and is suspected to be related to brutal murders in recent years.
The North District has been waging a long-term struggle against the organization, culminating in a shootout that occurred a year and a half ago, in which one of the organization's members was killed by the policemen in the village of Maar. About two months ago, a member of another organization was seriously injured in a shootout in front of the police in the same settlement.
The organization has been a target of the North District in recent years, during the struggle against the organization, and due to the fear of citizens to complain, North District police officers posed as contractors in order to be themselves a target for extortion. About a year ago, a breakthrough was achieved that led to the formation of an evidentiary infrastructure against the senior officials of the organization, members of the organization, and those who assisted them in money laundering.
