(haipo) - The police held a change of command ceremony today (Wednesday 8/2/23) at the Tirat Carmel station.

The Israel Police held a change of command ceremony today at the Carmel Castle station in the Carmel area within the Hoof district. The ceremony was held in the presence of Coast District Commander Superintendent Yoram Sofer, Carmel Area Commander, Deputy Superintendent Eli Magen, the command staffs in the district and areas, heads of authorities and councils, officers, policemen, guests and family members.

The incoming commander, Deputy Superintendent Erez Lahmish replaced the outgoing station commander, Deputy Superintendent Anwar Amer who retired.
Superintendent Yoram Sofer, commander of the Coast District, at the exchange of commanders ceremony:
"Today we are transferring command at the last station in the round of command changes. The Carmel Castle station where we are changing command today provides police services and takes care of public safety and peace in a professional and serviceable manner. Anwar, the outgoing commander, about a week ago you finished your service with the Israel Police after 34 years of service. During your time as commander The station has led to achievements, both in terms of crime and in the aspect of handling community relations. I would like to thank you for meeting the challenges and leading the station based on values and personal example. I wish you success in civilian life, an easy retirement and lots of health."

Superintendent Sofer turned to Erez Lahmish, the incoming commander, and said:
"As part of your duties in the police, you served as a collection officer at the police station and in your last position as deputy commander of the Acre station. There is no doubt in my heart that you will lead to the improvement of police services in the city, to the deep connection to the community and increasing public trust. Deputy Superintendent Eli Magen, commander of the Carmel area:

Fruitful cooperation between the police and the municipal security units
Earlier this week, the Mayor of Tirat Carmel, Aryeh Tal, met with the incoming commander, Sen. Erez Lahmish, for an introductory meeting, which was also attended by the director of the municipality's security department, Yoav Blass, and the deputy commander of the Tirat Carmel station, Corporal Kobi Markovich.

Senator Anwar Amer, 56 years old, married and father of 6. He has a bachelor's and master's degree in political science. He joined the police in 1989 and performed a variety of positions, the most prominent of which are: patrol officer in the Samaria region, commander of a department in the officers' course, deputy commander and acting commander of the Nahariya station, deputy commander of the Iron station, deputy commander and acting commander of the Acre station, deputy commander of the Zebulon station, Haifa Station General Manager and in his last position served as Tirat Carmel Station Commander, retired.
Senator Erez Lahmish 47 years old, married and father of 3. Has a bachelor's degree in criminology and a master's degree in political science and national security. He enlisted in the Israel Police in 1998 and performed a variety of positions, the most prominent of which are: commander of the detective course, commander of the detective unit of the Coastal Police Headquarters, head of the serious crime section at the Coastal Police Headquarters, chief of the intelligence collection and agents section of the Coastal Police Headquarters, K. intelligence and detective at the Zebulon station And in his last position he served as the deputy commander of the Acre station.He was appointed to serve as the commander of the Tirat Carmel station.
