(Live here sporty) - Second place for the Haifa girls' duo in the "duet" category up to the age of 8 at the international artistic swimming competition in Dubai
About 14 female athletes aged 8-14 from the Aqua Dance Haifa group in artistic swimming flew to an international competition in Dubai at the end of last December accompanied by coach Nicole Salzenev and the director of the association Nika Bimbed.
The competition was attended by over 200 female athletes who came from ten different countries, including Israel. This is a very high level competition, and the first of its kind in the difficulty levels for the young teams. The girls, who coped well with the high bar that was set for them, secured very respectable places.

The Haifa duo Yanina Grinbetsky and Zoe Schwartzman won second place in the duet for ages 8 and under and brought great pride to the Haifa team in particular and Israel in general. The other girls also participated in the duets and solos competition and reached high and respectable places in their age categories.

In the group category and the most difficult of all, the young athletes came in fourth place for ages 10 and under, and the older girls came in eighth place in the group for ages 13-15. In general, it was a very successful competition for the Haifa women and they gained a lot of experience in the international arena.

Artistic swimming is an Olympic sport that combines dancing in water. The sportsmen and women work on fitness, flexibility, endurance, dancing, acrobatics, swimming, coordination, hearing music, group work and more.
The scoring in the competition is given according to three categories: the level of difficulty of the dance, the degree of performance and artistic impression.
At the end of the competition, the participants of the competition from all the countries took part in a master class - a special training in the gymnasium and in the pool which was conducted by a famous coach and former world champion - Anastasia Arkhipova.

The names of the female athletes in the senior group: Gal Fox, Tamar Minrabi, Alisa Levin, Noam Kogan, Coral Shahada, Elizabeth Weinraum, Shiral Tardi-Ovadia and Noor Mehul.
