The municipality of Kiryat Bialik joins the genetic identification project of dogs, in order to enforce the collection of dog excrement by their owners
As part of the fight against the danger of dog excrement, the municipality of Kiryat Bialik intends to join the project of establishing a genetic database of dogs based on DNA tests. With the entry of the project, dog owners will be required to perform the test in the status of the annual vaccination against rabies and obtain the license for the dog. After building the database of all the dogs registered with the veterinary service, the authority's inspectors will collect dog droppings that were not collected on the streets and send them for laboratory testing. The DNA database that is set up will make it possible to locate the owners of the dogs for which they were not collected and to fine them.
The dog excrement that is not collected and remains on the sidewalks throughout the city is a nuisance and harms the quality of life of the residents. Only in 2022, the municipal hotline received 271 complaints about dog feces throughout the city. The DNA project will help deal with the phenomenon. In addition, when the DNA database is completed at the national level, it will be possible to locate lost or stolen dogs.

Dr. David Dadia, the city veterinarian:
"The phenomenon of owners not collecting dog excrement is a common phenomenon in all Israeli cities and is at the forefront of residents' inquiries to the municipal center. The new repository will make it possible to combat this phenomenon and improve the quality of life of the residents. I believe that the repository will help reduce the phenomenon and bring about a behavioral change among dog owners. Kiryat Bialik Municipality "Works hard to keep the public space clean by establishing parks for the release of dogs throughout the city and placing bag facilities to collect the dog excrement."
Haifa must. also drive like them. In the streets the sidewalks are full of poop on the paths into our homes. The owner of the house knew that if they had to clean they had to give them heavy fines so they would learn and be discouraged. Leave the shapes of the dogs.
Our municipality will probably also adopt in Haifa on Carmel the method of checking for dog excrement. It should be noted that I have already met young children in Carmel in the public gardens, who collected their dog's excrement, and I took the trouble to go back and approach them, and congratulate them for their conduct in maintaining cleanliness. This ray comes from the parents' home, from the education. And for that he sucked. So heartwarming.
We also want in Haifa...!!
