Every student is a whole world
The festive week opened with two panels in front of an audience of teaching students, moderated by Dr. Mirit Sharon. "Each student is a world in its own right!" This is what came up in the first panel, which dealt with the topic "The figure of the teacher in a changing era". The staff of the "Naot Peres" school participated in it: Esti Azoulai, the principal, Bar Aryeh and Zohar Carmel, as well as the student representatives - Omer Waldman, a graduate of the school, and high school students Leo Bak, Gaya Hait and Noam Zisberg. The speakers presented different points of view regarding the role of the teacher, and shared how the satisfaction and mission accompany their work today -Daily, alongside the ongoing challenges.

As an aside to the students in the audience, the panel members shared how important it is to give students a sense of choice, involvement in the content, adaptation, an act of kindness, and how important it is for a teacher to be flexible, confident and contain his students in the emotional aspect.

In the follow-up panel, the team of the "Ein Hayam" school was invited: Dana Mashiach Dichter Geller - the principal of the school, a representative from the school faculty - Lilach Kolani, Esnat Aviv, Marina Tsiralson, Miri Akerman and Limor Aguzi, who were joined by the student representatives - Yehli Agat Galili and Zohar Deri .
In the panel, the students heard about trust and love as the basis for getting to know the students in depth, about the spark that accompanies a teacher even after 30 years, and about the way in which a fun game space serves as a basis for learning and teaching for everyone in the school. "Thanks to the game, the teacher gets to know the students better," the representatives of the children's company told the panel. And what is the secret of the magic? Teamwork and emotional inclusion also for teachers in the team.

Inauguration of the teacher's garden
Later this week, 30 female students from the preparatory school inaugurated the "Teacher's Garden" on the college campus. They removed the lot from the sign, happily planted cyclamen next to the orange tree that was also planted for the occasion, cultivated the area and wrote on stones warm words related to the work of education. Every year, on Teacher's Day, we will expand the garden that will grow and bloom, out of respect and appreciation for teaching staff. This is how it is written on the sign that was placed in the place: "The teacher's garden was established in recognition and appreciation from the Gordon Academy to all the men and women of education in the schools and kindergartens 'for education from the heart that leads generations of learners to growth and love."

activity in the schools
And what happened inside the schools themselves? As part of the academy's relations with the field, the students in the "Amit Akademi" training program, which has been operating at the college for 10 years, surprised the educational teams in the schools where they experimented.

Cakes, balloons, presentations with congratulations, colorful signs and other surprises awaited the school visitors. All the exciting gestures were prepared by the female students with the students during the whole week.

In addition to all of these, the students and faculty members of the college recalled inspiring teachers, gardeners and gardeners from their childhood, and uploaded their memories on a web page.

The week was characterized by great appreciation and recognition for the dedicated education staff who lovingly accompany generations of children and teenagers.
Gordon Academy, as a leading college of education, is proud to be a partner in the "Teacher's Day" events and to say, as every day, thank you.
