(haipo) - The students of the Ofakim school in Haifa held a march on Monday (12/12/22) on the occasion of "Equal Rights Day for People with Disabilities". This day was celebrated around the world already last week, but last night the sunny and pleasant weather allowed them to go to the festive march.

An exciting collaboration
The students of the Ofakim school and the team were accompanied by students from the two 8th grades at the "Leo Buck" middle school. This is not the first time that this great collaboration between the two schools has taken place. This human connection creates a special magic, fertilizes and empowers both schools in the most beautiful and moving way.

This accessibility is not a shame
The participants of the march gathered in the piano square in the center of Carmel, when Shirley Kershover, the social coordinator of the Ofakim school, who has been teaching there for 23 years, gave a speech on the topic of equal rights for people with disabilities, with a special emphasis on the issue of accessibility.

excitement and identification
Many passers-by who noticed what was happening approached and took an interest, talked with the students and asked to express their sympathy and appreciation.

Surprise pizza!
The owners of the "Torino" pizzeria in the piano square were very excited by the gathering, and decided spontaneously and as a complete surprise for the children and the staff, to immediately donate 30 trays of delicious pizza to the participants of the march, which made everyone happy and caused great excitement to skyrocket to the players! Good people in the middle of the road, just like that.

"Carriage but driving ahead of you"
I didn't understand what it meant? It sounds like a spoken word. Why this defiance - they talk about equality but stand with statements of defiance and competitiveness who is ahead of whom. Just not suitable, very low level...
No swagger and no shoes, you must be one of those people who likes to make a fuss in a cup of tea. You don't need to exaggerate, get hurt and shocked by anything, it's a very common expression and you should focus mainly and not on the therapist. These young guys and their teachers are adorable! I met them there, by chance and was very impressed by them; From their wonderful youthful spirit, from the desire to be part of the community space, from the demonstration of positive presence! Yes, such events will multiply!
