(haipo) - Many residents in Haifa, and in a special way in the Carmelia neighborhood, complain that recently the municipality has been ambushing them and imposing fines for letting dogs in public gardens, during hours when there are no children.
Many dogs - few gardens
In Haifa many residents raise dogs, while on the other hand there is a very significant lack of dog parks, ones where it is allowed to let them off the leash and let them run freely. It is known that the law prohibits the release of dogs in the public space, but in light of the lack of dog parks, it has become acceptable to release the dogs in closed public parks, during hours when children are not spending time in them. There was even such an agreement between the residents of the Kabvir neighborhood and former mayor Yona Yahav until a solution is found.
This has been accepted for many years in the Yifat Garden in the Kabvir neighborhood, for example, and the same in the playground on Grinboim Street in the Dania neighborhood (before an area was allocated for a dog park in the neighborhood). There, in the evening, usually between the hours of 20:00 and 22:00, you could see loose dogs, of course, with the commitment of the dog owners to maintain cleanliness, which unfortunately does not always happen.
In recent times, according to residents, in Haina Garden and Avshalom Garden in Carmelia, the municipal inspectors decided to ambush the owners of the dogs and as soon as they see a dog loose, they trap the owner on the spot.
We addressed the Haifa municipality with a number of questions, among other things we wanted to understand why the municipality does not allow the release of dogs in these gardens at certain hours, when there are no children present in them and as is customary in different neighborhoods in the city, and in particular, when the municipality does not take care of another alternative for this purpose and does not allocate dog parks in each and every neighborhood as it should It was and can be done with a minor investment that would have solved the problem.
Not enough, much more enforcement is needed.
Tired of all the lawbreakers of their various types
Dogs do deserve free space. It is proper and fair to determine in parks in neighborhoods such as Verdia, Ramat Sapir and more from 20:XNUMX the park will be allocated for the release of dogs.
Well done, Haifa municipality. Continue to give reports with all the severity of the law both to those who do not collect and to those who reach the garbage can with their garbage and throw it next to the garbage can even though the garbage can is open, shame on you, the main thing is that they come to Arya with complaints, it's easiest for you
The inspectors do not dare to think of going down to the difficult neighborhoods in Haifa and try to give reports there.
Smart about normative residents and tax payers, like all enforcement agencies in the State of Israel.
Haifa is a more neglected city, less dense construction, less public space and parks, and if there are parks without lighting - a recipe for public crime, apart from that, the issue of dogs, like parks, there is plenty of room for improving the city's appearance. The greatest importance to the municipality is property taxes without any return to the citizens. Property taxes so high in relation to public space make no sense and there is no Lima Klish go home
There are many dog parks and for some reason owners of large and dangerous dogs let them out near the dog parks instead of walking 2 meters and entering the dog park. Dog owners should be given more reports and in larger amounts. Not to mention that they defecate in private parking lots and don't clean
Very good, whoever is smart - then let's not grow a dog. We have enough animals on our heads in Haifa.
The municipality of Haifa and its residents…..no need to think about them……especially the head that doesn't work at all!! A dog, unlike the people of the municipality, needs a dog park, so when the head of the body is dead....this is how the residents of Haifa suffer from a poor and dysfunctional city, and the poor head that none of the residents of Haifa, to put it mildly, know, is generally in the hole...
B and that!!
Do the dog owners still dare to complain? Kudos to the municipality! And shame on you! The dogs are also released outside to shit and God forbid they don't collect the loot after! You have to walk with your head down so as not to miss another mine that you left! And there are so many! The municipality needs to wake up here too and look for you, give you fines because that's the only way you'll learn!
Filled with giving fines in the garden. They dressed up in Carmelia and give meetings in a private area of the building. We will see them doing it in Wadi or in Hadar. In addition, the report is not sent on time, to avoid the possibility of an appeal. There are several complaints received by the State Comptroller.. check
Insolent city, so many dogs and no dog park at all. An area as large as Carmel, Carmelia without a single garden for dogs, the center of Carmel has zero gardens, the property tax is crazy and there is no welfare for the resident. Even in small cities near Haifa there are more services for dogs
You are rude!
You brought yourself a dog because you wanted to without having a private/shared yard and now you demand that public areas be allocated for it? Maybe we will also build a public cat house?
As a resident of the city, I am not interested in allocating public areas to dogs but to the needs of humans.
Most of the gardens in Haifa are on the surface, for example a garden in the forum near Medatek, a garden where bags are not put and not cleaned properly, the light goes off at night and comes on alone, you can't see anything. It's really disgusting that the municipality will start taking care of it immediately. Gottaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
There is a dog park in Vardia, under the window of our house.
I love dogs, but not dogs that riot non-stop and at all hours of the day and night, with lots of yelling from the dog owners trying to separate the dogs.
I am no longer talking about slamming the entrance gates to the dog park in the middle of the night and their droppings on the paths of the park, especially since it is the transition towards his neighborhood supermarket.
The dogs may be educated, but unfortunately not their owners!
If it is not possible to control the mess in the existing gardens, then how will the municipality be able to do this when there will be several more gardens??
With us, the inspectors literally lurk in the bushes like Hizbullah.
I wish them to be on the receiving side and not the giving side
A" I'm very happy that I'm here and I hope it stays that way because I'm really tired of you and your dogs. It's quite maddening. It stinks and is full of flies. It's unbearable. And it's better when you walk around your dog's eye. Just pick up after you in the bags and the garbage can. Better better. It sickens the soul. You live this eye. It's good that you don't mind why we have to endure this harassment and even more so on hot days hahahahaha
All the parks in the city are neglected and not taken care of, not just the dog parks. In the central Carmel area there is no dog park at all where dogs can be released.
this is how it should be.
Even in the few parks that exist, owners of large dogs enter and there is no possibility of letting small dogs in them.
A complete takeover of power.
We have plenty of small dogs. If you are afraid, the problem is probably with you and not with the dog
Who will fine the municipality?
They are also looking for the owners of the dogs in Ramat Begin
Both in the square garden and in the round garden
They come secretly...enter...take pictures and immediately give reports
