(live here in sports) - The Israel Judo Championship up to the age of 23 was held last Friday (11/11/22) - and concluded with impressive achievements for the Haifa players from the "Unify" club.
This is a very high level competition that only the best from all over the country reach. The Unite Haifa Association appeared at the competition with a distinguished delegation that included 11 male and female athletes and finished in second place, and with the largest number of medals among all the judo clubs in Israel!
The Haifa medal winners:
- Nathaniel Zorubal 1st place (73 kg) - Israeli champion for the third year in a row!
- Michael Zakon - 1st place (90 kg)
- Gal Kaluda - 2nd place (66 kg) - the youngest competitor at this weight, who surprised with a victory in the semi-finals against a leading adult athlete.
- Sagi Hayilo - 2nd place (100 kg)
- Vladimir Gavriluk - 3rd place (90 kg)
- Anastasia Vyatkin - 3rd place (48 kg)
