A special project of the municipality of Kiryat Bialik: artists from all over the world sculpted large stone sculptures for 3 weeks in a lot designated for that purpose. At the end of the project, a ceremony was held at the sculpture site. Now, the sculptures will be moved to Peres Promenade where they will be placed on permanent display. I arrived at the final event of the making of the sculptures and was excited to take part in an original and wonderful production by the municipality of Kiryat Bialik.

The original invitation to the festival

For the first time in Kiryat Bialik the International Sculpture Festival is held.
12 sculptors from around the world take part in the festival: from Israel, Turkey, France, Japan, India, and Armenia.
The festival is open to the public. Residents of the city and the surrounding area can observe the process of the artists' sculpting work and follow the development of their work, starting from the unhewn raw stone until its transformation into a work of art.
The festival will continue until Thursday, 3/11/2022, when at that time there will be a festive closing event and the festivity including activities for children.
The festival will take place in the capsule park parking lot next to Lev Ha'ir Park. The statues that will be sculpted will be placed later along the Shimon Peres Promenade (Nahal Hagadora).

I am happy to start a new tradition in the city - the sculpture festival. This year we chose interactive sculptures that will be used for both photography and entertainment.

Lovely idea. It is especially interesting to see the sculptures in the sculpting process, how figures emerge from a block of stone, and the whole idea is revealed to the eye.
