During the week, a ceremony was held for the paratrooper brigade commander, Col. Yoav Brunner. So come and pay a lot of respect... welcome Sergeant Bar Ofir, the 20-year-old from Haifa who this week was awarded the honor of Rosh Hashanah of the paratrooper brigade. Bar, selected as one of the most outstanding this year of the paratrooper brigade, is a fighter in the 890th battalion. He received the distinction thanks to his hard and dedicated work.
In this way, it should be noted that Bar enlisted in November 2020 for the Paratroopers Brigade and is a soldier in its 890th Battalion. About two weeks before the long-awaited moment when he finished his training, Bar made a long journey with the battalion to the Ammunition Hill. In it, he broke his ankle during Krav Maga training at BA.
After the injury, he was attached to the convalescent unit Rm 2 for a period of several months, after which a gradual process of returning to service as a soldier began. "Returning from Army 2, directly to a very cold winter training in the Golan Heights, was both a physical and a mental challenge. After the training, I served as a military officer in the company military when we moved to occupy a line in Gush Etzion, because I felt that I needed to get stronger in order to fulfill the role properly the best." That's what he said.
When asked about receiving the distinction, he said:
Receiving the distinction from the Brigadier General is a very exciting position for me. It gives me a great sense of self-satisfaction to know that they appreciate the fact that I did not give up and that I continued doing it, so I continued doing it with a great sense of self-satisfaction until the exciting position that is happening today, receiving a distinction from the brigade commander.
