The Haifa police went on a search together with the canine unit.
The only canine unit based on volunteers spread all over the country and run as part of a non-profit organization. The unit has been operating for many years and has a large number of successes to its credit, including the discovery of missing persons alive and the discovery of bodies.

The volunteer Yoel, who drives the dog Alfie, worked at Dodi Mayblom's side this evening.
During the search, Yoel frees Alfie and she enthusiastically runs along the Bat Galim beach looking for people who are lying motionless and in need of help.
Uncle Mayblom explained to us tonight that searches at night are easier than during the day, because at night the boardwalk is almost empty of people and therefore it is easier for Alfie to detect the scents of people in distress.
Dodi Yoel and Alfie continued their search into the night and we wish her well if they found the missing person. Tomorrow we will report the results of the searches.
At midnight, a message was received in Hai Pa that the missing man had been located and returned safely to his home and family.
