Renewal and restoration of the Leon Bloom building 28-36

There is no Haifai who did not get to see the building with the famous "waves" initiative of the tenants to restore and make visible the front of the monumental building - the "concrete box" that was built in the past.

The tenants, who were tired of the concrete look from the sky and previously initiated a new look for the building's shell, like a kind of cloudy waves in the blue color for its shades, which merges with the surrounding landscape and the sky.

4 months ago they took the initiative to rehabilitate the building's shell, this time with a more modern wink and a choice of warm colors, in contrast to the previous look. The restoration is carried out by the Gonen company from A.S. Management and execution of projects Ltd.

The building has 5 entrances, and each entrance will be bordered in shades of lemony yellow or bright mustard. In the secret spaces of the laundry in the gaps between the houses, they installed a uniform vertical shell on the front line, which creates a uniform and clean appearance for the front of the street.

On the side of the building they added vertical signage of the street name and building numbers on a black background. The building received and still receives many reviews, both positive and negative, for the surprising and intense color change in the street. Perhaps this is new news, of an idea for a new color for more potential buildings for restoration and changing the facades in Haifa.

  1. The yellow building in Leon Blum can be an example of changing the conventional perception of gray and black. When we travel in Europe we see houses of different colors. blue. pink. Yellow and more stars. The sight is really refreshing. Why not learn from the Europeans? (and not only in Europe). another subject; It is also worth referring to special houses in Haifa. example; Leon Blum 2. The apartments in the building are very special and originate from a building built in Marseille, France. Or the glass building on Bar Giora Street.

  2. The color brightens the look. Rather an original and pleasant choice

  3. The building looked as if it had been vomited on, the infrastructure and the external leaks were not taken care of, the workers damaged the property, and everything was done the opposite of what was agreed upon

  4. Wonderful. Everywhere in Europe the buildings are different colors. Why not with us?
? New Spirit. What I lack - lots and lots of flowers

  5. "Modern" is what this horror is called.
With us (Verdia) it was painted in black gray - the atmosphere of the afflicted, a cemetery...
How do you let the decision makers do whatever they want - the morbid...

  6. Demand from each apartment 8000 sheikhs for renovation and vote against the decision of the majority of the tenants. Who is willing to accept?

  7. I walk down the street day after day, to my taste the new colors are really happy and fresh. Fun to pass on the road and look at the renovated building!

    • Cost over 1600000, according to the committee that collected the money…..color only You are invited to live in this happy building.

  8. The color hides what is inside the building, apartments that were built according to construction plans from seventy years ago. Don't look at the jar but what's inside.

  9. At last they retired from the gray white and black herd and dared to add color to the building - a big dafo and may many follow in their footsteps! Kudos to the painter!

  10. Say director of the preservation department, isn't this a building for preservation?? How come you didn't complain about the issue?

  11. It's real fun to live in Leon Blum, and in many ways. Quiet, peaceful, amazing sea and north views and lots more

  12. Actually the sand was more successful, less noticeable, they should have updated the blue and turquoise

  13. The height of ugliness incarnate. Unaesthetic renovation in the worst taste imaginable.

  14. The buildings themselves are concrete monsters. But while the blue waves created a visually pleasing sequence between the sea and the sky. After all, the new coloring does not contribute anything to the environment. Too bad that's the case

  15. It looks new but reminds of a communist construction from Eastern Europe and does not fit the landscape and the color of the city of Haifa

  16. The light-blue corrugations suited Haifa, the view of the bay and the sea in the background, gave the building a uniqueness among its blind brothers and indeed, at least in Haifa's terms, it was innovative. The orange and yellow blocks do not add anything to this, and reading the tenant's response it seems that this is simply another "pike" in the spirit of our time... It is doubtful if any of the workers there turned out righteous...

  17. Reads the comments and realizes that the people of Israel are no longer a nation but an ungrateful and evil people with a "rapid" growth.
I pass by there every day and if there was somewhere to stop across the street I would look at it for at least a few minutes.
    Enough with Israel.
We've already done it, we've done it.
I have been a renter in a building in Geula for 17 years and no matter how much I invest there (for love of a clean and beautiful environment and not for being nice) people always have complaints and you don't say that they pay a commission, or say good morning or buy some seedling for the garden,,, Nada, Gornisht, nothing!
Only complaints complaints and face ass.

  18. I am in favor of painting buildings in happy colors, but the colors chosen here did not improve the appearance, the waves were more beautiful.

  19. I live close to there and in my opinion the renovation is really not beautiful!
There is no innovation and no appropriate combination of colors, just the opposite.
It could have been done much nicer.. it's a shame.

  20. As an apartment owner in a building, in Leon Blum. The original idea was to strengthen the building and completely renovate it. The tenants had to choose the colors of the building from 4 options. I'm not arguing about the taste, the beauty or the innovation. I am sad and angry that this is not what we chose. Someone worked for us and chose for us. We did not strengthen the building nor really renovate it. Just paint was applied unprofessionally. From afar it looks innovative, up close it looks amateurish. For your information, there is a lawsuit regarding the renovation of our building.
They called to ask where the problems were, but they didn't give a cell phone number so we could send pictures of the problems, and there are many problems. The work is not professional, applying paint that any child could do, no wall repairs, no washing before painting, just applying paint on a dirty wall. Those who approach see the magnitude of the disaster. By the way, many places were not painted, but balconies, air conditioners and my air conditioners and living room windows were painted. I wonder why there was pressure from one side of the tenants to take you after we made balconies at your place and not everyone was satisfied. Besides, are you experts in balconies, home renovation or just those who do everything and are experts in nothing?!

  21. Wow cool!! The big building in the north
