A 16-year-old girl fell from a height of about three floors in the abandoned casino building in the Bat Galim neighborhood in Haifa.
MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene gave the victim medical treatment and evacuated her to Rambam Hospital in moderate to serious condition with multi-system damage.
The fire fighters told Hai Fah: for a reason that has not yet been clarified, the girl fell from a height of about four floors into a shaft in the heart of the abandoned building and was very seriously injured. The firefighters broke through the barred entrance to the compound, made contact with the girl and assisted the MDA forces in evacuating her from the scene.
Five years after Gil Dankner, one of the owners of Generation Chemicals, purchased the casino building, the building still stands as an open wound in the heart of Bat Galim Promenade, robbing the beach from the public, disfiguring the promenade and endangering teenagers who sneak there at night through the fences.
