These days, the Subb Ata road project is being launched, the purpose of which is to connect the old neighborhoods in the city with the new neighborhoods that are in the stages of planning and construction.
When completed, the project will allow maximum accessibility to public transportation routes, including metro and light rail.
Subb Ata is a complement to the future transportation system in the Kiryat area, so that at the end of it, a new infrastructure with a total length of about 8.5 km will be connected to the existing infrastructure, and a metro line with a length of about 16 km will be operated on it. The matron will pass through designated travel lanes, will receive priority at traffic lights and will allow continuous and fast travel that will significantly shorten arrival times to the destination.
Matron Kiryat Ata
Matron Kiryat Ata will be part of the matron network in Gal'in Metropolis Haifa and Kiryat. The project consists of two sections: the canal section, which was tendered for execution, and the eastern bypass section, which is in the planning stages.
The first section of the project, which is about 1.3 km long, will extend on Hatala Street in Kiryat Ata, in the section between Bialik Street and Mordi Hagataut Street.
The total length of the Matron route, on its two parts: the canal section and the eastern bypass section, is about 8.5 km from Bialik Square to the Tal intersection. On this line, after its completion, a total of 16 advanced passenger stations are planned, which includes signage and information accessibility for passengers.
Upon its completion, in the future the Kiryat Ata subway route will be able to contain additional subway lines and future public transportation, in the scope of 30-40 buses per direction, per hour. The total budget of the Kiryat Ata Matron Project is estimated at approximately NIS 760 million.
In accordance with the tender for the execution of the Cross Israel Company, the canal section will include the main components:
- A two-lane, two-lane road and sidewalks, bike paths and preparation for a future subway route
- "Hana Vesa" parking lot next to Bialik Square
- Regulating the Zebulon junction, Marumzer junction
- A large underground drainage channel that drains the rainwater in the area
- Treatment of existing and/or planned infrastructures
Yaakov Peretz, Mayor of Kiryat Ata:
I am happy and excited to announce that the Subb Ata project is underway. Subb Ata is a huge, comprehensive and life-changing project in the most basic and everyday sense of each and every one of us. Chutz Israel and the Ministry of Transportation are the best partners we could have asked for in realizing the vision and realizing a project of this magnitude, and I thank them and look forward to working together for the well-being of all residents of Kiryat Ata. Turn it around - we're off!
All the sidewalks and roads in the city are destroyed, first to renew what was destroyed and after that to build a new one
All the roads are potholes, the sidewalks crooked
Will the expansion include the addition of stations "on the existing line, or an additional metro line?"
Second question: What is the planning regarding Yoseftal Street in terms of the matron route and especially the outdated and collapsing sewer systems that connect the buildings to the main system?
Third question: Is there a plan to strengthen the outdated buildings and especially the columns they stand on so they don't collapse in a powerful earthquake and cause tens of thousands of casualties or does the municipality care more about a dog park than human life?
The total budget of the Kiryat Ata Matron Project is estimated at approximately NIS 760 million.
On Peking there are two bus routes for several kilometers.
This is a scandal, simply stealing public money.
I want to know if there is compensation for residents who are adjacent to a first class road
Well done
First, the mayor will take care of the problems that exist within the city, and there are many, and then he will build new roads
