Water Water in Shashon - refreshing in nature
Shavuot - the water festival, although the past has passed and it still does, it signals to us that this is exactly the time to remember the fun water trips in our surroundings. What's more appropriate for the warm weather we're expecting this weekend than a dip in the spring?
I have collected five great water trips for you. Some of them are wonderful springs that allow immersion, some allow walking beside the water and even above it. What is important is that they are all close to our home, and they are all located in the Haifa area.
Alroy Spring
Ma'in Elroi and the train park next to it combine for us a perfect trip suitable for all family members, accessible to strollers, and also suitable as a spot for a picnic or a romantic trip, or even as a special park for experiences for the children.
The place combines a walk in nature, a great spring for immersion that has shallow parts and deep parts. Recently, a coffee and jahanon cart was also placed there.

Near the spring we will find the train park - an open museum of train cars just waiting to be touched, climbed on and entered.

Along the stream there are several wooden bridges that allow you to cross the stream and reach the other side.
In addition, you can find a variety of animals, waterfowl and fish here. I recommend doing a circular route, starting with walking on the paved path, crossing the bridge and returning through the eucalyptus grove.

start uphill
We start uphill and reach Bostan Chiat. If we are lucky, the storage pools will be full, and so within a 5 minute walk we will reach the water.
If not, continue uphill, until you reach the first spring pool. The continuation of the ascent leads us to a smaller and female pool from which the water originates. Next to the spring is an archaeological site of Carmelite monastery antiquities.

A short path will lead us opposite to a two-story cave, the entrance to which is locked. The descent is the opposite of the way we came.

Picnic and swing
Around the spring there is a place for a picnic or a coffee shop (unregulated, no benches), and near it an improvised swing.
