Inventors and young inventors in the "Variety Education" program in Kiryat Yam
This week there was a community record day at the "Alumim" school in Kiryat Yam, on the topic "Entrepreneurship research and inventions" in the "Education Variety" program from "Password for every student".
The program, which combines the special education students with the regular education students, focuses on the integration and inclusion of these children in the community and society, with the belief that every student deserves an equal opportunity to fulfill his potential, and with the understanding that inclusion is an opportunity for growth and development for everyone who takes part in it .

The highlight day was held in the capacity of the mayor - Mr. David Ibn Tzur, a leading district instructor in the field of ICT in education in the Haifa district - Ms. Rachel Diamant and the director of ICT-North in the project "Password for every student" - Mr. Ariel Sagi.


Look for the treasure
The highlight day, which took place under the leadership of Alumim school principal Mrs. Loret Faitlovitz and led by the school principals in collaboration with "Password for every student", began with the game "Look for the treasure" on the topic of Israeli inventions and entrepreneurship, followed by the research fair. At the research fair, 5th grade students presented - Six of the XNUMX partner schools in the "Variety Education" program, their inventions, the fruit of a long-term learning process throughout the XNUMX school year of the special education classes together with the regular education classes. Unique inventions, including in the field of accessibility, for people with different needs, to whom they were exposed and learned about, in cooperative learning, which promotes ICT skills and develops advanced computer and information skills among students in regular education and special education, in combination with social values of inclusion, tolerance and acceptance of the other.

They labored and invested a lot of effort to bring their products to be presented in front of an audience and on the peak day they presented their inspiring products to the guests for the community in general and for people with different needs in particular, among them:
- From the Urim School - Fracture Medicine - a kit for the primary treatment of fractures.
- From Aalmogam School - a mini iron crane - a compact crane that will help people with mobility disabilities to carry heavy loads.
- From Amirim School - Blindsee - a bracelet for the visually impaired, which scans products and provides them with the required information about them;
- From the sea school An Emotion Robot - - a robotic dog that helps children integrate into society.
- From Alumim School - an electric cane - a cane intended for people with visual disabilities, which warns of obstacles on the way and helps them succeed.


At the end of the fair, certificates were awarded to the winners of the "Find the Treasure" competition:
- In first place students from the "Yamit" school
- In second place students from "Amirim" school
- In third place students from the Almogam school

The Mayor of Kiryat Yam, Mr. David Tzur was very impressed by the creative ideas of the inventors and the young inventors, who presented sensitivity and thought towards the other and showed the power of the future generation of Kiryat Yam. He thanked the project "Password for every student" and its head, Mr. Udi Angel, who also serves as the president of "Variety Israel", for the valuable and important program "Variety Education", as well as for all the programs that the project has given and is giving to the city during the 10 years that the project has been accompanying the schools in the city, in ICT, in training, in valuable content tasks and in promoting the students and preparing them for the digital age.
